Unknown POV
I watched as she walked away from the house with someone at her side, I screamed , screamed really hard but the cloth prevented me from doing so.
I wish I could run to her and tell her everything but that bastard won't let me, she has made my life miserable, wrecked my home all because of a mistake in the past.
I thought my apology would have made her to understand but she didn't, all this years she carried it in her heart and now I am tied up to this tree with no food or water for as long as I could remember.
I don't know how long I will last tied up her without food or water atleast I need to tell them the truth.
I heard the yard gate open and I looked up at the face I really wanted to despise so much but it would mean me despising myself, our resemblance is just too much that you wouldn't know the difference.
"How are you feeling today?" Her voice irritated me so much.
She removed the cloth from my mouth. And I stretched it, it ached so badly.
"Why do you care, I'm the same way you left me" I spat in her face.
Her laughter was all that could be heard, before she slapped me.
"Don't you ever talk to me in that manner" and she stomped off banging the door behind her.
"At least she didn't cover my mouth" I muttered to myself.
I have to look for a way to get out of this place. I can't be stuck here anymore.
I tugged and tugged the rope but each movement caused it to grope my hands the more.
I looked around trying to find something I can use, anything but to no avail.
I can't let her have the last laugh, never. I won't let her control me and ruin the last hope that I had.
I kept tugging, tugging and tugging the rope not giving up. I felt it becoming loose and with determination I kept tugging till it finally came off and I pulled out my hand, then freed the other, I untied my legs and took a sprint.
Opening the unlocked gate and speeding down till I got to the pavement, I saw the door open and I waited no more. I ran for my dear life.
I heard her voice call behind me.
"come back her Marilyn, I'm going to get you". her voice was becoming faint as I ran away from the building.
I wonder how we could ever be related, our parents weren't evil and neither was I but I guess everything started that faithful night.
I stopped running and all the events from that night flashed through.
"Go on Marilyn, you can't save us all, take care of your sister" those were her last words before she died.
I remember I tried lifting up the plank from her leg but the fire was everywhere, I couldn't and Marisa wasn't there, she went out "clubbing" leaving me to do all the work that very night.
I wish I could have done more, I killed two people that night, our aunt and her unborn child, she was one of the closest person to us ever since the death of our father, mom went mad when she heard about his death. We all lost the greatest person in our lives.
I still mourn him and after our aunt died we had no one else. My sister began to hate me and I felt out of place.
I ran away from home after asking Marisa to forgive me. But what I didn't know is all those years she carried a lot of hate against me and once I realized why I stood where I was I started running again.
I didn't run to where I could easily find Malia and tell her.
Well I didn't know where to find her so I took the left turn because I knew the right led to the upper east side.
I knew she would go looking for me there, I kept on running not stopping one minute to glance at my surrounding. Each step I made , I was making a plan to tell Malia.
That I am her "mother!".
****
Bleh......This is news, so all this while Malia wasn't being maltreated by her mom.
