I started working in the library the next day. Aiden had told me to be there at seven in the morning.

Felix escorted me to the library that morning. I tried asking him about the mission he had to do yesterday, but he wouldn't tell anything.

'Will you escort me back to my room this evening?' I asked him.

His arm lied around my shoulders, as he pulled me along through the large Hall. It calmed my nerves.

'If you want me to.'

'Yes please. I don't want to walk on my own through an building filled with vampires.' I grunted.

'You are aware of the fact that there will be vampires in the library too?'

'I am aware of that.'

'Do you want me to stay for the whole day?' We entered the library ten minutes before seven.

'You probably have more important things to do.' I gave him a sad smile as I observed the library.

'I do, but I'll cancel them if you want to.'

'No,' I said as I walked towards the desk that stood almost in the middle of the room, 'you don't need to do that.'

Leaning against the desk with bots his arms, he shrugged and our eyes connected.

'Felix, can I ask you something?'

'Do you ever stop asking questions?' Felix smiled gently.

'Probably not.' I grinned at him.

'Fine, what do you want to know?' He walked around the desk towards the side where I was standing.

He seated himself in one of the chairs behind the desk, crossing his arms in front of his body.

'Are you a vampire?'

That questions made him chuckle. Felix closed his eyes, as if he was thinking about something, and ran his fingers through his hair.

'Yes, I am a vampire.' That didn't surprise me though. The way he acted, and sometimes the way he spoke, gave away that he wasn't human.

'Then, why is your body warm? I thought vampires had no pulse, heartbeat or any warmth in their body.'

'There is a lot you don't know about vampires then.' Felix opened his eyes again.

He almost looked surprised when he saw me sitting in front of him, on the desk, with my legs dangling above the ground.

I was about to say something smart as a reply, but I was interrupted by Felix who shuffled closer on the chair he had been sitting on.

'My body always has a normale temperature because,' He laid his hand right above my right knee, 'I can controle my body heat.'

'How can you do that?' I asked, ignoring the obvious fact that Felix' hand was creeping up my leg.

'It is my ability as a vampire.'

'Your ability?' His hand now laid on my upper thight, his thumb casually stroking my leg.

'As a vampire, you gain your first ability when you reach the age of fifthy. And every hundred years after that you gain a new one.'

'Is is your only ability, the temperature thing?'

'No, I have two abilities.' I could feel how his eyes were observing my reaction to his touch. My eyes focussed on the ground.

'And what is the second one?' I gasped for air when his hand moved even more.

'I can feel other persons emotions,' He muttered, to concentrated on what he was doing to my body, 'for example, I can feel your arousal right now.'

A wide grin appeared on his face. He, obviously, was proud of his work.

I quickly slapped his hand away, whilst jumping from the desk and taking a couple of steps away from him.

'That isn't fair.' I mumbled as my cheeks were turning a bright red.

'Life isn't about what is fair and what isn't princess.' Felix said as he stood up from the chair with a huge grin from ear to ear.

He started walking towards me, ready to say another smart comment. But we were interrupted by a new voice that filled the tensed atmosphere.

'Are you the other library worker?' A sudden cold hit my nerves and made me freeze in the spot where I was standing.

I recognized the voice too well. I turned around, only to be greeted by the most beautiful pair of blue eyes I had ever seen.

'Evelyn..' The other female stuttered in shock as our eyes connected.

'Charlotte.' A small smile crept up my lips, but I surpressed it.

'You two know each other?' Felix asked. I could feel how he was already standing behind me. It felt like he was always ready to protect me.

I looked at him in confussion, before realising he couldn't know about our connection.

'We came in together. We met in the woods.' My voice was odly calm, in comparrison to my shaking body.

'You need me to stay?' Felix whispered in my air, still not sure about the whole situation.

'No, it's allright.' I gave him my most innocent smile. This could possibly my first oppurtonity to speak with someone from my team again.

'I'll see you tonight then.' My body already missed the heat from his body, even before he had exited the library.

I watched him walk out, but didn't dare to speak before the door closed completly.

A small hand touched the side of my waist, a shiver went through my body. Our lips touched without saying another word to each other.

As we stood there, the familiar touch of her lips on mine, millions of thoughts crossed my mind. But for now I didn't want to think, I only wanted to feel the things I hadn't felt for days.

'I've missed you..' She whispered with her lips still on mine. With her fingertips she touched the side of my face.

'My love,' I slowly stepped back from her loving arms, 'we can't risk them seeing us.'

It felt bad to stay that, as I wanted to touch her body so badly that it hurt.

I took a step back, knowing it was the better option to do. Her blue eyes followed every move I made.

'Where have you been?' She asked as she leaned against the wooden desk, the same place where Felix had stood just minutes ago.

'He had me locked up for a few days.' I grunted as I ran my hands through my tangled hair.

'He?' Charlotte's eyes seemed worried, she always wanted to protect me. It had been a bad habbit of her, knowing that I was to get in trouble everywhere I went.

'The prince.'

'What? Why?'

'Ask him because I don't know.' Even thinking about him made me angry again.

'I've been working in here since the first day we got here.' She mumbled while her eyes shifted from me towards the door. 'The first people will be coming in soon, we should start working.'

The sudden change in her mood made me wonder if I had said something wrong.

But there wasn't enough time to think about that as the first people, or did I have to say vampires, entered through the door.

'Charlotte dear,' An elderly lady walked towards the desk with books in her hands, 'who is the new lady?'

She had a gentle smile on her face, in comparison to all the other vampires here.

'This is the new assistant, Evelyn. She will be working here too from now on.' Charlotte smiled.

'She is pretty.' The woman grinned, making me giggle.
