"So what is it?" He asked excitedly.

"It's not for you," I snap playfully.

"Awww," he fake pouts.

I fight the smile forming on my lips.

"Then why can't you tell me?" He whines.

"Why so curious?" I smirk.

"Why so mysterious?" He smirks back.

I bite my lip while I think of a comeback.

"It is for me isn't it?" He smiles. "Come on, tell me!"

"It's not for you!" I say again. "Don't worry about it."

I smile triumphantly, still keeping the parcel out of view.

It was Friday and I had the day off. I'd just gotten home from the park. Cassius was watching cartoons and Zayn had called me on FaceTime.

I knew it was late where he was but he insisted on staying up to talk to me. Damn time zones.

A knock on my door had interrupted our conversation. Even Cassius looked at the door curiously.

The mailman dropped off a package I'd been waiting for and Zayn was anxious to know what it was.

"Fine," Zayn said reluctantly.

"Okay!" I roll my eyes. "It's just a stupid T-O-Y for my S-O-N."

"Ooh." Zayn's eyes lit up. "What kind of toy---"

"Shhhh!" I snapped.

Cassius is too focused on his toys and the television to even notice me.

"I'll tell you later."

"Fine," he sighed dramatically.

"Yeah," I continue. "It was for his birthday but it's super late. Might as well save it for Christmas."

"Yeah," he laughed.

"Time is really flying by," I said.

"That it is," he nodded.

At that moment, a thought occurred to me.

What were we doing for the holidays?

Normal couples spend the holidays together... but we were hardly a normal couple.

I sighed.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing," I said quickly.

"Come on, we both know you'll tell me eventually," he smirked. "Might as well tell me now."

He's right.

Besides, I should be able to talk about this to him. Right?

"I, uh, I was just wondering.. um what you're doing for the holidays," I mumble.

He raises an eyebrow.

"Don't you mean what we're doing?" He beams.

I smile immediately.

His words warm my heart and I know they'll be replaying in my head for days.

"I guess," I smile shyly.

How could I think he wouldn't try to see me around the holidays?

"Well I definitely want to see you," he starts. "I'm not going to sneak around either."

"What?" I can't believe my ears.

"I'm not going to sneak around to see you. I don't care who knows now," he said simply.
