What Just Happened?! A Mericcup and Toothless x reader love story

Chapter 4

~Hiccups POV~(I know what you're thinking FINALLY and I honestly can't blame you I'm thinking the exact same thing)

Toothless and I are soaring in the sky at amazing speeds, but my mind is somewhere else. Astrid. "WAHHH TOOTHLESS NOT COOL!" I screamed in terror. Toothless of course was falling with me laughing his tail off. "TOOTHLESS" I had enough I needed this to stop. I needed time to stop. He finally realized how distressed I was and went ahead off me and then under me so I could fall of him.

He looked so sad. ARRGH! I feel so guilty now! "I'm sorry bud. I-I'm just... I'm still a bit torn up about what happened with Astrid. I honestly thought she was the one. Guess it was too good to be true. (Me right now→ *facepalm* Dude! Pull it together that was TWO years ago! Btw hiccup is 23 and Merida 19, had to make it a LEGAL age. 16 and 20 is not a legal age) Toothless gave me that are you serious look(I'm with ya Tooth!..I'll just stop talking).

"Alright bud. Let's...go home," and there we were, traveling back to Berk. I just can't get that day out of my mind.

Flashback

It was 2 two months after we defeated Drago Bludvist (it sounds like bloodfist so that's I think how you pronounce it) and two months since my...since my father's death. I had been spending my time alone or with Toothless and less and less time with the gang. They all understood that I needed my space after that. Sometimes I spoke with my mother, but other than that I was alone.

They were welcoming the new member of both the team and Berk, Eret. Astrid and him really hit it off. When I got back I saw this.

"Eret we shouldn't be doing this," a voice said. Astrid?

"I know, but I love you Astrid," Eret said back to her. I heard this going on behind a building so I went behind it hoping I heard wrong. Of course there they were. KISSING. I couldn't take it I backed away in shock, but bumped into something causing a small racket.

"H-Hiccup this isn't... Just let me explain!" she yelled with panic. I didn't listen I just ran. I ran back home and locked myself in my room crying. I slammed the the door and slid down it, crying my eyes out for a good five minutes until my mother came in.

"Hiccup. What happened?" she said worriedly.

"A-Astrid and Er-et. Kissing," I stuttered trying to stop the tears from coming down.

"Oh! Honey it's alright. She's just not for you," she said trying to comfort me.

"B-but mom. I loved her," I said with pleading eyes.

"Loved? Ah so you no longer love her," she said smirking.

"I-I guess you're right," I said as Tooless walked in, "Hey bud." He he went and sat next to me whining worriedly. "I'm alright bud. She just isn't the right one. I no longer love her like that, but she isn't something I would want to lose as a friend.

End of Flashback

I forgave her and we broke up. She and Eret aren't doing so well right now. To be fair I think her and Snotlout would be better. I'm over her, but that doesn't mean I'm not afraid that I'll get hurt like that again. We're all just handing on.

"Hiccup!" A voice said bringing me out of my thoughts.

"Hiccup we need to talk!" That voice calling out to me turned out to be my mother. I turned and saw her flying next to me. I nodded to her in understanding. We landed outside the house. We went in while the dragons stayed out to do...dragon stuff.

We sat at the table in the kitchen. "What did we need to talk about mother. I just got a letter from the queen and kind of Dunbroch and before you say anything let me explain," she said sternly so I closed my mouth and kept quite. "They claim to have found a dragon near their village. It isn't injured just hungry and thirsty. They will be here in three days with the dragon and they are bringing their triplet son and daughter."

"Do they know what kind it is?" I asked now interested in what's going to happen.

"No."

"We need to prepare for their arrival then," I said getting up.

"Yes, but first we tell the village," I nodded in understanding and we headed off calling everyone to the great hall.

Hey my Animal pups! This is later than I intended because I've been busy with what LIFE. I want go into specifics just that it's nothing bad. I finally have a title page! YAY! I don't know if you can see it or not and if you can't plz tell me it's not supposed to be all black there is a picture! I had an original one that I drew but I lost it.
