~Fergus's POV~

3 days later

"We're almost thaur Elinor," I said to my wife.

"Ah jist hiner 'at dragon willnae make a fuss an' 'at th' boys willnae get in trouble," she sighed.

"Relax Elinor. th' dragon is tay shy tae cause trooble, but Ah cannae promise anythin' fur th' boys," I said trying to reassure her.

"Ah hope yoo're reit" she sighed.

~Merida's POV~

I just sat there watching the dragon in front of me. We are in the dungeon part of the boat. The dragon is in the cage hiding under it's wing.

"Hi," I said while waving. I'm here sitting in front of the cage but she does nothing.

"Hey, Ah willnae hurt ye. Ah jist want tae be yer friend," I said in a gentle voice so I wouldn't scare it.

What I said apparently interested it so it peaked out from under it's wing. I gave it a gentle smile and a small wave. It came out from behind it's wing and just stared at me. Like it was trying to figure me out.

I got up from the floor and walked to the cage. I reached in tried touching it's head but it backed away so I pulled my hand back and backed away a bit to it space. "It's okay. we'll wait till yer comfortable an' less shy."

"Merida! Whaur haur!" My mother yelled. I looked at the door up the stairs then the dragon and gave it a small wave and ran up to the deck.

Hey my little Animal pups! I'm REALLY REALLY sorry for not updating in so long. My life has been hectic. I'm not going into the details. And I'm really sorry for the short chapter. I wanted to get something out. It's not rushed. I have something good planed for the next chapter! It'll be longer than this one. Idk how long though. Again I'm really sorry. I hope you can forgive this author! Oh and ill try to post every weekend. Cause school started up again on Wednesday the 4. Again I am really sorry!
