Tyler starts up the truck and as we wait it for it to warm up Khalil, Nick and I go over our gear to make sure we are prepared. Jade approaches us after she finishes her conversation with Audrey.

"Hey, Wisconsin." she runs her hand through her hair.

"What's up?" I ask climbing into the back seat of Tyler's truck.

"I just wanted to tell you." she steps closer to me, "while we do need these supplies I don't want you or anyone else getting hurt out there."

"We will be careful and bring back some good stuff." I smile at her.

"Good." she smiles back.

Tyler takes his spot behind the wheel, Nick takes the passenger seat, and Khalil hops in next to me. We ride toward town mostly in silence. As we make it about three fourths of the way there I stick my arm out and begin tapping a beat on the side of the truck. Tyler begins bobbing his head nowhere near on beat.

"You okay?" Nick asks with a smirk, "looks like you are having a stroke." we all begin to laugh.

"Oh fuck you!" he chuckles.

We pull up to the center of town and look around for a place to park.

"Make sure we are in a place that we can watch over so we don't get any unwanted guests." Khalil says glancing out his window.

"Got it." replies Tyler.

"I'm surprised people vacated so quickly." I say in an almost hushed tone matching the silence of the area around.

"Same dude." Nick says, "But we should still be on the look out for people who may want to hurt us."

"Maybe we can get some extra survivors to add to the group." I retort.

"Maybe." Nick's voice trails off.

"Stack up." Khalil calls out taking point at the rear entrance of a busted store.

I fall in behind him grabbing his shoulder. Nick is behind me and Tyler behind him. Khalil sends his ready back tapping his hand against me. I send the tap back. Tyler squeezes Nick's shoulder and he does the same to me. With one final move I squeeze Khalil's shoulder and he begins to step into the door. We all quickly pile into the room all guns on station covering every part of the room we currently stand in. We all begin to clear the final rooms of the small store taking mental notes of water bottle packages and any food we see. We start to ferry out supplies and as we place the last package of water bottles and hear a loud screech on the road a few blocks down.

"Whoa! You guys here that!?" I exclaim.

"Yeah sure did." Nick replies.

"Should we go check it out?" I ask.

"I guess we can try to get a peek." he says, "but let's keep a low profile.

We all begin to creep down the street and we notice three loud men standing in the middle of the street. They parked their pickup truck at an angle cutting off the street.

"Oh for fuck's sake." I whisper under my breath.

The three men are in black hoodies and have matching dark masks. They appear to be laughing and joking around as they stand in the truck bed. However what really catches my eye is there appears to be someone on the ground near the truck with their hands on top of their head as they kneel on the ground and appear to be crying.
