Bella (POV)
It had been another week after I had been "re-acquainted" with the boys when they released me from the hospital. None of my memories had come back to me, and to be honest, I don't think I wanted them too. Remembering meant remembering my "family" and remembering the accidnet, all the pain and sadness. My therapist said that the case for that happening is extremely rare, but the thought that it might, caused me to lock that part of my mind away, forever.
Currently, I was with Louis, and we were heading towards the social service office located near the hospital. I was shaking lightly, partly from the brisk wind that blew through the city, but mostly because wild thoughts were running through my mind.
'What if they force me to return to the US?'
'What if they take me away from the boys?'
I was literally going crazy with worry. I just had this feeling, somewhere in me, that I needed to stay with the boys. I had too, for my own good. Louis said I was in good hands, when it came to their lawyer. He had been working overtime trying to have me kept with the boys. But, it was complicated, me being seventeen.
I didn't know all the details. However, this was the only time I had seen Louis so serious as he opened the door for me, and walked inside the office.
"Thank you." I breathed, immediately peeling off my thick coat and hanging it on a rack located in the lobby of the office.
The office was large, almost four stories, with offices located on each floor. Louis preceded to head to the front desk, and gave the lady his name. I overheard her say it would be a few minutes. I sat down in one of the plush chairs, and whipped my phone out to text Niall.
Louis plopped down beside me, glancing at me and smiling.
"There's no need to be nervous Bell." He said rubbing my shoulder in a comforting way. If its one thing I've learned about these boys, it was that they like to touch.
"Sorry Lou..." I replied, rubbing my face with my hands, wincing slightly as my hand came in contact with the bruise.
"Hey, be careful there. There almost gone, ya know."
"Yeah, I'm so glad. These things make me feel horrible." I replied, glancing outside the window to see snow falling lazily to the ground.
"Why?"
"Well..." I started, paused to collect my thoughts, then continued, "Cause it reminds me that I can't remember what happened, who I use to be, anything."
"I see. But, if you think of it this way, you may not remember your memories, but their in the past. And, with us, you can make new, better memories." Louis said smiling warmly at me.
My mouth hung open. 'Since when has Lou been... mature?!' I thought in shock.
"What?! I am the oldest, ya know. I have my moments." He said with a wink as we heard my name being called.
I gulped loudly, and got up to follow Louis inside the door, who was following a short man with grey hair and a scruffy beard. The man led us through many hallways, before beckoning us into his office. It was a quaint little room, with a big wooden desk, a computer, and shelves that showed his family pictures.
