Chapter 23- Apartment

Joeys POV

The next races seemed to fly by pretty fast. We won the 7th leg of the race, so both Cat and I won $5,000. Mine will all go to mine and Meghan's own apartment for the baby.

We're the 4th team left. So there's only 3 races left. We're in the United Kingdom for today's leg and I'm prepared. Cat and I both have been to the UK before so I feel like we know our way around.

"Are you ready Joey? We are so close." Cat said as we were walking to the balcony of our hotel.

"As ready as I'll every be."

During the Race

Joeys POV

We're either so far ahead or so far behind that we don't see anybody. I refuse to think that we're loosing. It's been 3 hours since we started and I can see the building we finish in. Cat and I jump out of the taxi in a full on sprint to the entrance.

The first thing I see is 3 teams already there. I can tell Cat is already pretty heartbroken because she leaned into me and hugged me.

"Cat, Joey. I am sorry to tell you that you have come in 4th place. How was your second," He looked at me then Cat. "and first time on the race?"

I spoke first. "Through the hardest challenges and the easiest I had three main reasons to keep me going. I think being on the race for my second time is one of the greatest things that could happen."

Then Cat spoke through her tears. "Being this my first time on the race, I think this is the best thing that happened in my life. I'm so glad I was able to come on and go all over the world."

After that Meghan came out from one of the doors and joined us.

Phil spoke one last time before we had to take our 'Walking Away Shoot'.

"Cat, Meghan, Joey, you have been eliminated."

We turned and I had my left arm on Cat's shoulder and my right arm on Meghan's lower back. We walked out in style.

Back home in LA

Meghan's POV

I'm 25 weeks now. Me and Joey have been looking all over LA for a nice apartment to rent for a while. Right now me and Joey are laying on his bed looking at a house finder app.

"How about this one? It's only 300K."

I looked at the apartment. It has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a huge living room and kitchen. I really like it.

"Joey I think it's perfect! It's really close to Griffith Park and some of our friends!"

We went to check the house out the next day. It was even better in person! The walls are a lightish orange in the living room and the bedrooms are really spacey. Me and Joey decided it was perfect for us. Everything feels perfect.

As we were leaving the apartment, which we just bought, I heard my phone ringing in my pocket.

"Hey David. What's up?"

"It's Sasha. I took her to the hospital and the one of the twins isn't breathing right. She said she felt a horrible twisting in her stomach. Jakes still at the house with Princo. Can you please go get them and meet us at the hospital. The doctors said if the one dies the other would be at risk while they got the first one out. Please Meghan!" I heard David wail into the phone.

"It's alright David well be there as soon as we can." I hung up the phone and turned to Joey who was about to turn into Sawyers drive way.

"To my house. To the hospital." Was all I had to say before Joey started off again.
