This Is Unexpected (A Moey Fanfiction)

Chapter 17- Lol Wut.

Meghan's POV

I have no idea where I'm going. Well technically where Joey is going. He started running until he finally stopped I heard running water and bird chirping. Where are we?

Joey put me down on the ground and put his hands at the back of the blindfold. "You ready?"

"Yes." I decided to just go with it. Joey wasn't gonna hurt me so why not?

He slowly untied the blind fold and then put his arms around my waist.

I looked around at the beautiful scene. We were at a park with a big river and picnic tables filled with all my friends.

"Congratulations!" They yelled all coming towards us.

"Oh my gosh! Joey did you plan this!?"

"Yep! That's what I started doing this morning! Me and Shane didn't make a video. We came up here with all of our friends and set up!"

"Awe thank you guys so much! You guys are the best!"

"Sorry we couldn't go to the ultrasound today! We thought you'd like this surprise better." Cat and Kalel told me.

Joey is the best boyfriend ever. There was a whole buffet of food- chicken, salad, drinks. It was amazing. Almost everyone was asking to see the picture and look at my little belly. All of our friends are here like Arden and Jenn and Tyler. Joey said he tried to get my family to come down, but they refused to come down if they didn't know why. He thought that once they came down we could surprise them but my mom refused mainly because she doesn't really like Joey. Well she's gonna have to get over it because I love Joey and so does everyone else.

We spent the whole night eating, dancing and singing. My life tonight is amazing. A couple of my friends brought us presents like bottles and pacifiers. I love my friends so much also. They care about me and Joey so much to buy gifts and bring food.

"So are are having fun?" Joey came up to me while I was cutting myself a slice of cake that Ingrid brought.

"Yes. I love you so much Joey. Thank you." I leant my head back onto his chest and closed my eyes.

After a couple minutes, Joey backed away and stood up on an empty picnic table. Everyone got quiet fast, as if they knew this was gonna happen.

Joeys POV

"Hello everyone! Thank you all for coming! Also thank you for bringing food and presents for the baby and us." I looked down at Meghan, her eyes glittering bright in the moonlight.

"I hope you all had an awesome night, I know we sure did! And I would like to make this night even better." I have full confidence in myself right now. I reached down and pulled Meghan up here with me. There's no going back now said the little voice inside my head.

Meghan's POV

What is he doing? My head is spinning right now.

"Meghan Camarena, you have been my bestfriend for the longest time. You have been the greatest girlfriend for a whole week and a half, but what felt like forever. I know how you have felt you're whole life, feeling like you're nothing. We lived similar lives for so long. And I would love to know, if you would marry me."

I can tell I'm sweating. My mind is all over the place. I'm trying to say 'Yes! I've wanted this to happen ever since I've met you! I love you and I want to spend my whole life with you!' But I just can't find the words to speak. My eyes can only focus on Joey I can hear 'awes!' from my friends and it makes me want to cry in happiness.

My daze of reality is put to a stop when I hear my mothers voice.

"What the hell do you think you are doing!" I jump and let go of Joeys hand.

"M-mom?"

"First you get pregnant with this idiot of a boy and now you're getting proposed to!? Did you happen to loose every bit of common sense since college?! Oh wait that's right! You dropped out! If you had just continued on with college you'd be living a perfect life with Jimmy! Marriage before kids with your mothers approval."

"Excuse me?!" Joey started speaking up. This cannot end good. "At least I will care for Meghan and our baby unlike you did! Yeah Meghan told me how you used to treat her. And if it wasn't for me and dropping out of college, her life wouldn't be this perfect! Meghan would have a man who loves her as much as I do."

I decided to bud in.

"Mom! This is my life and I can live it however I want. I'm not your little baby girl anymore. I'm an adult. I love Joey and he loves me back. More than Jimmy would ever love me. And you should be glad the way I turned out. I could of been a homeless alcoholic prostitute! But Joey saved me when you couldn't! And there is nothing you can do with me marrying Joey!"

"Meghan I am your mother and I have a HUGE say in what goes on in your life. And do you want to see what I can do?!"

Everything happened so fast. The last thing I remembered of tonight was my mother punching Joey to the ground. She turned around and ran to her car and before I knew it I was on my knees trying to help my fiancé who was lying knocked out on the grass.
