Joeys POV

We got to Modesto about 3 hours later. Since I've never been to Modesto, Meghan took over the steering wheel. We arrived at the police department and they told us to wait in the lobby until Meghan's mom to cooperate.

A tall officer walked out from one of the doors "Meghan Camarena?"

Me and Meghan stood up and began walking towards him until he asked me to stay here for now.

The walls weren't very soundproof so if I really focused on listening to the one room, I could hear their whole conversation.

"I don't care what you think! It's my life! And I hope you know that I'm the one that makes the decision on whether you go home or not!" I heard Meghan scream at her mother. I tried to hear what Meghan's mom said back but my concentration was ruined by the man at the front desk.

"Mother- in-law issues?"

"Yeah. She hates me."

"I know how you feel. On my wedding day, her mother ruined the cake and blamed it on me. Luckily my wife wasn't that stupid to believe her."

Our conversation was interrupted by the door that Meghan was in opening and a furious Meghan storming out.

"Let's go Joey." Is all she said before running out to Satsuki and slamming the door.

"Have a nice day!" The man at the desk said sarcastically as I went after Meghan.

"What happened in there?" I asked as I started the car.

"I let her go. But I told her I don't want to see her."

Oh. Is all I can think to respond. Its going to be a long way home.

Same time at the Hospital

Sasha's POV

David laid asleep next to me on the small hospital bed. He had his hand on the single baby in my stomach. I'm going to be pretty heartbroken for a while, I just lost a life. I know David doesn't really want to keep the baby, he wants for someone to adopt it, but I feel like I have go change his mind. I already lost one baby, I'm not going to give my other baby away. I decided to get some sleep tonight since I'm probably able to leave tomorrow.

I wake up with to my stomach twisting in pain. I can barely move, for the feeling in my stomach keeps getting worse. Am I in labor? No I'm only 26 weeks. That's impossible.

I reach over to David and try hard to wake him. He turns around to me.

"What's wrong?" He says, barely awake.

"It hurts." is all Im able to say without screaming. David jumps up and runs to the door, blinding me with the hallway light. It must still be night.

"Can someone help us?!" I hear David yell, followed by a herd of nurses.

About 3 nurses came in and started asking me questions.

"Where does it hurt?" I couldn't get the words out so I just pointed to my stomach.

Another wave of extreme pain swept over my stomach. This time I couldn't help but to scream and clutch the arm rest on the side of the bed.

The nurses talked quickly amongst themselves, saying something about getting bringing in my doctor and labor. Is this seriously happening? Another nurse came in and they fixed my be to that they can push me to another room. David walked quickly, still staying at the side of my bed holding my hand. They finally got me into a labor room and started talking in 'hospital words' so I still wasn't completely sure what was happening. A couple of the nurses kept checking 'down there' to make sure everything was okay. It also turned out that it was already 4 in the morning.

About 10 minutes of the nurses doing almost nothing, I felt one more wave of extreme pain. This time hurt worse than all the others. I screamed in pain and probably just broke David's hand from squeezing so hard.

The doctor finally spoke after all this time and grabbed his rubber gloves.

"It's time!"
