"Damn, this is the best curry wurst I have ever had!" Jace said throwing his head back.
Joey laughed, "This is the first time you have ever had curry wurst." Joey said.
"How would honestly know that?" Joey raised her eyebrows.
"Okay, maybe your right. But, this is the best?"
"What do you usually eat?"
"Pizza, hot dogs, and salad." Joey made a face at him.
"We need to expand your palate."
"As long as you're cooking it, I will eat it."
"What if I make Escargot or Haggis?" She said testing him.
"And I am sure I love it." He said jokingly. They both laughed.
"Okay, here I can take your dishes and wash them." Joey said.
"No, I am the guest, you feed me. Let me."
"No, seriously, go sit on the couch and pick out a movie or something." She pushed him down on the coach.
"Yes, ma'am." He said and saluted her. She laughed, considering he didn't know her military family background.
She came back and sat down after she washed the dishes. Jace was trying to find a movie. He settled on a horror movie.
"Why a horror movie?" Joey asked secretly hated the idea. Horror movies bored her too much. After all the stories the General told them about Iraq and Afghanistan, horror made from Hollywood cinema didn't terrified her.
"Because I love them! Don't you?" Jace started the movie at this point.
"No, they bore me."
"What? How?"
"My father and three brothers are in the military. I have heard real horror stories. Not 'horror', that something that Hollywood cinema made."
"Oh, I didn't know that your family was in the military." She didn't expect for him to say that.
"Yeah, my father, the General, is in the Marine Corps. My oldest brother, Charlie, is a doctor in the Marine Corps. My second oldest brother, Danny, is in the Marines. And, Gunnar, whose three years older than me, is going to be in the Marines, as well."
"Wow, so what about you?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, what do you see yourself doing?"
"Dancing."
"Dancing? For your whole life?"
"Yep."
"It's that simple."
"Yeah, why wouldn't it be?"
"Well, you still have time to figure out what you want to do. If you want to change it, you can." Joey felt like Jace might regret his choice as a star, but she doesn't know why he would. Isn't this the life he wanted? Joey was about to speak about that.
"Whoa! Would you look at that!" He pointed to the screen about something that interest him. But, she could care less about what was going on in whatever they were watching. She wanted to know why he regretted his life.
