"Not for that. For this."

Of all the things that Joey thought Jace would do, she did not expect this in a million years. The next thing Joey knew. He was kissing her.

Joey didn't think this would ever happen. Not even in her wildest dreams. She never thought the Jace Wilde would be kissing her. He cupped her head and held her face in his calloused hands.

At first, Joey didn't react. She just stood limb in his arms. Then, she responded to what was going on and kissed him back. She dug her fingers in his hair and tugged at it.

Joey thought back to the last guy she kissed. It had been six months ago on a blind date. He was a sweet guy and she felt like she kind of had to. So, she gave him a peck and that was it. It still counted.

This kiss with Jace wasn't a peck. She couldn't help having her anger disintegrate. He just made all of the emotions come out of her. She felt more alive. She felt on fire. She felt like she could feel his lips mold perfectly around hers. She could feel him move his hands carefully on her body, like he was memorizing her, from her face, down her back, and to her waist. He pulled her closer and deepened the kiss. Both of their emotions were being expressed through the kiss. Joey buried her hands in his hair. Jace pulled her tighter against him. She felt electrified. Joey felt like she could kiss him for hours, days, years. She loved this feeling, and she never wanted to give it up.

But, sadly, as most things do, everything has to come to an end. Jace slowly broke away.

"Sorry about that. The paparazzi saw me and that was the first thing I thought of doing to hide my face." He said looking carefully at Joey.

"Well, that makes sense. So..."

"So..." They both laughed at the same time.

"Look, Joey, I am so sorry I am so hard on you and I push you away. I want us to work, believe me, I really do. But, right now, I can't handle it. Right now, I can't loose my friendship with you. It's one of the most important things to me. You're one of the most important people in my life and I can't loose you."

"I understand. But, with friendship come a price."

"What?"

"You have to open up to me and be honest. Please. We have to be honest with each other if we want this to work and especially with both of us on the show. For our dancing to be better and for our friendship, we have to be honest."

"Okay, so what do you suggest we do?"

"Okay, tomorrow we both have off. Tomorrow, come over bright and early. Gunnar won't be there, he has to work. Come over early and you will find out the whole life of Joey Stark."

"Okay, that sounds awesome. I like this idea. So, what do we do after that?"

"Next week, I will learn all about the life of Jace Wilde. Sounds good?"

"Sounds good."

"Okay, right now though, I could use a ride home. Do you mind?"

"Not at all, let's go."
