Well, I won't waste anytime: chapter 15:

When Joey got inside the club, she could tell why the club was famous. The lights were dimmed low and the strobe lights were bright and colorful. The DJ was taking request and playing really good music. And there was a bar in the back of the club with a lounge upstairs, that Joey was guessing that it was either that you had to be an A-Lister or paying around a thousand dollars to get in, either way she couldn't get in there even if she wanted to.

When Joey got farther into the club, she could feel some one put their hand on her back; she immediately turned around to find the one person she was looking for.

"Hey, I didn't think you would come." Jace whispered into her ear. Joey was blushing; she knew that he was whispering for the fact that no one could hear anything with all the sound around them. But, she still was a little embarrassed.

"You know Allison..." She was introducing her friend, but she seemed to have left and gone into the middle to dance with the other dancers from the show.

"Yeah, I know her." Jace said laughing.

"Why would you think I wouldn't show? You invited me."

"You never know. Come on, let's get a drink in you." Jace said and put his arm around her, then moved it to the small of her back, leading her to the bar. They went to the bar. Jace held up two fingers for the bartender and he nodded. Joey watched him make it and she had no idea what the drink was. She was curious, but still took the drink when the bartender gave both to Jace and he offered her one. She unconsciously took a drink, and it was surprisingly sweet.

"What is this?" Joey asked taking another sip. Her stomach felt warm. Joey wasn't one to drink alcohol much. Considering her father was a general. Gunnar teased her for not drinking, especially while she was in high school. Gunnar partied most of his high school days. So, when Gunnar's little sister came to high school, people didn't know if she would be the type to party with Gunnar, be studious like Danny, or run for ASB like Charlie. She did a mix of all three.  But, whatever she was drinking, made her nerves gone. Or was that just the feeling she got when she was around Jace.

"What do you think it is?" Jace said amused and took a sip of his drink.

"I don't know, something sweet. A margarita?" Jace laughed.

"Close." Joey narrowed her eyes. Jace laughed again. "A virgin margarita." He said finally. Joey sighed to herself. It was non-alcoholic.

"So, what are you drinking?" Joey asked trying to be inconspicuous, but failed at it, for Jace was laughing at her.

"You just have to guess that." Jace said and winked at her. Joey looked away and flushed. "Come on, let's go dance." Jace said pulling Joey by the hand. Jace's hand in Joey's felt different. She has had other guys hold her hands before, but with Jace, it felt completely different, almost new to her. She could feel his ruff calluses from years of playing guitar, but his hands were still soft to the touch. They fit together, hers and his, together.

Jace dragged Joey out into the middle of the dance floor where everyone was pressed up tight against each other. Jace was right in front Joey; she was almost flushed right up against him.

"I noticed your wearing the dress I picked out." Jace whispered into Joey's ear.

"So, then, how does it look?" Joey turned around and realized how close she was to him. But, he was teasing her, so she was going to do the same.

"Considering, since you have walked in here, nine people have checked you out. Two of those being girls."

"Which people?" She asked with a sassy tone.
