"Yuri!" The ravenette glanced up and seen his mother running up to meet him. "I wish I could stay and talk with you mom, but I just came to pick up a few things. Viktor is going to be starting treatments this afternoon and I need to get back. It's bad enough that it takes two hours to get there by the subway..." Letting out a sigh, he looked down and smiled when he was greeted by Maccachin. "Hey boy! How have you been?"
Noticing the dog looking behind him, Yuri frowned. "Listen Maccachin. Viktor won't be back for awhile, but I need you to help mom with the place here. Is that okay with you?" Maccachin barked in response and Yuri smiled. "That's a good boy." Taking out his phone, the raven haired male snapped a couple pictures of the dog to show Viktor later. He knew that he was probably worried about him, since he hadn't seen him in almost two weeks.

Yuri walked down the hallway and glanced back, seeing that Maccachin had followed him. "I need to pick up some things for Viktor, boy." Opening up the doors, lonliness swept up into the ravenettes chest. It felt so different without Viktor here...
Forcing himself to step inside, he looked around the room. "Hmm...what do you think he'd liked with him, Maccachin?"
Barking twice, Maccachin ran up to a stand by the bed and put his paws on the ledge.
Yuri stepped up behind Maccachin and nodded when he seen what was on the stand. "Yeah...these pictures are important to him. I'm sure they'll brighten up his room a lot. Good job Maccachin!" Smiling, Yuri pat the top of the dogs head.

After packing the pictures into the bag he had, Yuri yawned. He looked around the room again and wondered if he should take a pair of clothing for the other male.
Deciding on it, he chose some clothes for Viktor and put them in the bag with the pictures.
He left the other male's room and closed the doors up once he was out.
Walking down the hallway a bit further, he came upon his own room and he let out a loud sigh. Maccachin was still following him around for some reason... "What is it, boy?"
Not bothering to reply, the dog jumped up onto Yuri's bed and curled up.
"You like it on my bed?" Yuri shook his head and walked over to his closet. He needed a clean pair of clothes. He figured that they'd do him for a couple of days.
He put in another pair of clothes, just in case he wasn't able to leave the hospital. If things got too bad, he could always just wash them by hand there. "Hopefully things won't get like that..."
Running a shaky hand through his hair, Yuri tried to keep himself composed. The shock was finally starting to subside and he felt the weight of everything that was going on finally settle on his shoulders. "Dammit!"
Sensing the difference in the other's mood, Maccachin appeared by Yuri's side. He whimpered a bit and rubbed against his legs.
Looking down at the dog, Yuri's vision soon turned blurry. "Maccachin...he's going to be okay, right?" His voice cracked at the end and he let himself sink down onto the floor.
Maccachin whimpered a few more times and licked Yuri's hand. Climbing into his lap, he started to lick his face.
"Hey! Stop that!" Yuri laughed and fell backwards as Maccachin continued to lick his face. "Okay, okay!" He laughed even harder and tried to push him away gently.
The dog pulled away after a moment and then barked once as he looked at Yuri. His tongue fell out of his mouth and he walked back up to Yuri, climbing into his lap again. He nuzzled his chest and it made the other smile. "Thanks Maccachin..."
Reaching up, Yuri scratched behind the dogs ears and gently stroked his fur. He was grateful for the other trying to cheer him up. Things weren't over yet and they had hardly even began. There was no use in getting upset over things that hadn't even happened yet.
Minako's words rang out through his mind and Yuri sighed softly. He needed to be positive for Viktor's sake, no matter how hard that was.

"You know that you can call me anytime..." "Yes, mom..." He hugged his mother and then left with his two bags.
He had taken some food with him. Viktor liked his mother's steamed buns, so he was thankful that she had offered him pretty much an entire batch. Everyone at the Inn was supporting him, even the guests. It surprised him. He didn't think that they would have so much support.
Outside of the Inn though, no one knew about Viktor's current condition. The older male had even stated that he was going to stay off of social media until things were better.
Before he knew it, he was at the station and he took out his phone, about to look at the time. He noticed the subway train start to pull up though and a small smile came to his lips. He had made it in time.
He climbed aboard and was pleased to see that it was practically empty at the moment. He had a long ways to go though...
Letting out a quiet sigh, Yuri sat down on one of the seats and rested his head back against the window.

"The next stop is Nushugawa hospital. Please exit in an orderly fashion and have a good day."
"Mmm..." Hearing the announcement come over the intercom, Yuri's eyes fluttered.
His eyes shot open when he heard the announcement get repeated and he stood up quickly, getting ready to get off. He couldn't believe that he had slept through the entire ride...
It was a good thing that they announced the stops, or he wouldn't have gotten off.
The doors of the train opened and Yuri stepped out, taking a moment to stretch.
Minako wouldn't be able to come for the next two days, because she had ballet classes. Which didn't make it any easier for Yuri, because he'd have to do this all on his own. It would be difficult to be positive without her around. He never seen anyone with cancer get treated before, but he knew that there were side effects.

Yuri was lost in his thoughts the entire way to the hospital. Thankfully it was only a couple of blocks from the train.
Looking up at the hospital as he walked up to it, he took a deep breath and was prepared to face this head on. There was no beating around the bush. He had to do this for Viktor, since he said that he wouldn't leave his side.

Please review and let me know that you think of the chapter or the story up until now.
Ugh...I have chapter six wrote and then I have to start writing the rest...This fanfiction is going to have ten chapters, with the last chapter being Viktor's full recovery.
I never do character death, so you don't have to worry about such things being in my writing ^__^
*
This is so emotionally and mentally draining to write, though.
I've started it and I've worked really hard on it, so I have to finish it.
I really hate myself for putting Viktor and Yuri though something like this *Sigh*
I honestly have no idea how other writers can write things like this.
