Viktor's eyelids started to flutter and he glanced to the side, seeing his lover's sleeping face next to him.
Smiling softly, the older male looked towards the window, watching as the sun started to shine through.
He lifted his hand into the air and watched as the sun shone off of the golden ring that sat on his finger and the memory of the previous night came back to him. It was a very fond memory and he swore that he would never forget it.
Turning over onto his side, Viktor buried himself in the covers again and looked at Yuri. His face looked so relaxed while he slept and he knew that he was in fact relaxed. Since the worst had finally passed now, there was no need for him to be worried.
Looking down at the ring that sat on the other's finger, the older male smiled softly. Honestly, he didn't think that he would stay by his side and he wasn't entirely sure that he had wanted him to.
No one had ever wanted to stay with him during his treatments, but it's not like anyone knew. The only person who had known was Yakov and Viktor didn't want to be bothersome, so he told him not to come. He had spent the few years doing treatment alone. In those times, he had wished more then anything for someone to be with him.
Of all times for it to come onto him, Viktor didn't think it would hit him so suddenly.
Thinking back to about three weeks ago, the older male thought it felt like a much longer time. It was all over now, though and he hoped that he wouldn't have to undergo this treatment ever again. It wasn't something that he enjoyed and he didn't like his lover seeing him in such a sorry state.
Reaching up, he gently ran a hand through Yuri's dark hair. It was so soft...

"Do we have everything?" "I think so..." Viktor nodded and looked at the other male. "Are you sure that you're okay to take the subway?" "It's the only way to get back to the Inn, Yuri." "I-I know, but still!"
Before he could say anything else, Viktor leaned into the ravenette and kissed him on the lips. Chuckling softly, he pulled away and was satisfied to see the dark blush on his lover's cheeks. "I'm fine, Yuri. Let's go home."

One month later...
It was a pleasant spring day and there wasn't a single cloud in the sky. The sun shone brightly and was spreading it's warmth, despite being late afternoon. The weather was indeed starting to get warmer and that meant outdoor activities could start.
"Maccachin!"
Viktor threw a stick and watched as the dog ran to retrieve it.
"I'm so tired..."
"You've got to get in shape for skating again, so it's important for you to start your exercises now." "I know, I know..." Yuri couldn't help but roll his eyes.
"Did you just roll your eyes at me?"
"No...what makes you think that?" The raven haired male averted his gaze and slowly started to walk away. He didn't get very far though, because he landed face first into the sand. "Ah!"
Viktor chuckled and sat on the other's back. "Yuri..." He leaned forward and whispered into his ear, nipping it gently with his teeth.
"H-hey! Not out here!" Yuri struggled to get out of the other male's grip and managed to flip them both over, ending up with Viktor underneath him. "You think you're smart?" Viktor laughed louder this time and looked up at the ravenette.
