The ending

I hear a thunk. Is that the sound of a weapon wielded by a goat on two legs hitting me? Maybe. Lets open my eyes and see how much blood and guts is everywhere. I hope I died beautifully. Sans was watching. I don't want his image of me super gross.

No, actually. Turns out it was the sound of my brothers and sister, along with Sans and Papyrus, Toriel, Muffet, Mettaton, Alphys, Undyne, and a bunch of monsters I have t even met grabbing ahold of the shaft to keep me from dying.

A white light glows at the bottom of my vision. I look down, surprised to see my soul is love. The thoughts of monsters and humans rush through my head.

We got your back, sis.

Good job human!

I... saved her.

Oh yes! I just saved the gorgeous human!

Surrounding me, encasing me in love, making my soul glow brighter. Asgore lets go. They all do, and the weapon clatters down beside me. I fall on my sexy, yet now hurting butt. Humans and monsters alike stepped back, some laughing, some crying, all cheering.

"Thus human MUST be spared!" Mettaton says.

"That's a human?" Another monster asks. "That is so weird! It was so kind to me when I fell into the snow and hurt myself!"

My human brothers and sister stepped up, followed by the monsters I call my family. Sans is u readable from my point. Flame crouched in front of me. "We got your back, Beam." he smiles his five star smiles. Shadow and Bolt crouched down next. I look to Bolt. "You new this was going to happen. If you guilt me into feeling bad, I would have done that to keep us from having to like, reset or something." Bolt's smile was a thousand watts. (I realize I'm a sin.)

"Yup. I also planned the party a week in advance. Shadow gets distracted going to the bathroom. She would never be able to plan a party by herself. Oh! And about the Temmie and your visit to Alphys in advance so I prepared my speeches." he might have had more to say, but it was Shadow's turn to speak.

"Beam, I'm going to tell you upfront that I have not died yet and had to press continue or anything in fact this whole me being determination-" pause for breath "-absolutely blew my mind." Monsters clap me on the back, lift me up, cheering. I'm ecstatic. Sans comes up to me. "Beam" he says. I wait for him to say more. He begins again. "Beam, I-"

Vines wrap around his midsection, pulling him backward. Monsters cry out, also being pulled away by the vines. Flowey and Chara cackle together.

"Oh, the dear beautiful humans and monsters. Too bad I'll HALF to cut you up, now isn't it?" Shadow, seeing no danger right away says. "That joke is almost a big a sin as you are." I, along with several others, crack up. Char charges at Shadow stands still until Chara is about to stab her.

Shadow has Chara's knife pressed to her back. Chara is grunting and trying to be free. They struggle. Bolt taps me on the shoulder. "Flame got attacked  by Flowey again." he says like a tattletale. "Anyway, we need to rescue him. I have a beautiful idea."

Chara broke free of Shadow and tried to slay her, stabbing a snow drake. It ran in my direction before dying. Next thing I know...

"Gosh dang it, I absorbed a Froggit. " Bolt says. "You absorbed the Snow drake. You look nice!" I cringe.

I'm looking at Shadow, who looks like some sort of cat airplane with a bow. I'm not sure how this works, but ok!

"Alright, smart butt, what's the plan?" Bolt motions to Shadow, saying something like, "She's doing just fine, but lets help her out because if she dies my whole plan goes cablooey."

We manage to get Chara by almost every limb. "if we can get Flowey to absorb Chara, this might work. If it's her but not her soul, well, we can cuss and go on with plan B."

We slowly take Chara to Flowey, who was slinging Flame around trying to make him cuss more than usual.

"Now!" I scream.

Shadow stabs Chara and tosses her at Flowey. We were pretty sure this was going to work. But it didn't. Because her soul was gone, but her body managed to roam around and be a word that starts with a B.

B.

Monsters hold her down and Flowey is throwing himself around I put him in a... flower lock? Head lock? I'm not sure. Flowey goes still.

"I... I know you, human" he says. He lets go of the monsters and Flame.

Flowey smiles at me. "human, Beam, did I save you?" I shake my head. "No, I think that might be..." I trail off. It was Chara wasn't it? Didn't he save Chara? But didn't he save her because she was as kind as I try to be today?

Chara thrashes around. Time seems to slow. Chara charges at me.

"Beam!" Sans yells. I shoot upright were I lie. " What happened?" I ask. "Flowey killed Chara, but he didn't make it. The barrier didn't break. He died before he could break it." I look down at myself. Then at my human friends. We all absorbed a monster. I look up at Sans. He helps me up. I give him a hug.

"You know I have to-" I start.

"Beam. I love you. I know you have to go. Bolt told me everything." he presses me closer. " I love you so much."

"I love you too, Sans." I try to step away, but he takes off his jacket and gives it too me. Papyrus gives me his scarf. Sans wraps the scarf around my neck and presses our faces together. Then he lets me go.

"Ready?" Bolt asks. I nod. Shadow smiles. Flame laughs. They step through. I turn around.

"THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!" I yell. I turn around, then turn back. "Paps!" he smiles at me as I cross the barrier, I cry "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!"

My eyes fly open. "Marco." I say automatically.

"Polo" my brothers and sister groan.

"Aww, that was all a dream." Shadow says when she stands up and sees the familiar pop corn ceiling. "Look, we aren't half monsters, I'm not DETERMINATION, we just... crap."

"No, it was real." Bolt says, pointing to me.

The light from my soul starts to fade, slightly blue reflecting off my jacket. Sans's jacket. I'm in awe.

"It was all real." I whisper. Then I get excited. I turn and yell at nothing particular:

"Sans! I'll see you again! I love you!"
