Chapter:13... Long time no see

Irene's POV

As soon as the class got over, I instantly came outside & returned back to my rented house. Well, you must be thinking about why I am living in a rented house instead of living with my father, then let me tell you that we still haven't sorted our problems with each other. I never got time actually to return back home. I've been too busy with return of Joy thingy.

As I returned to my apartment, I quickly turned the knob of the door & entered inside my room. I made myself fall on the bed.

"What were you thinking that time Irene?", I thought,"Have you gone nuts? You don't even know to swim & you taking part in that competition? Don't you still remember that incident 2 years before?", I groaned & woke up from the bed ruffling my hair.

"Need to clear my mind", I took my towel & went to take a quick shower inside the bathroom.

Authors POV

Seulgi, Sungjae & Taehyung, they went to the canteen & sat on their respective chairs.

There was a great silence which surrounded them. All of them were having a talk with themselves inside their mind. None of them spoke anything until Seulgi broke the silence.

"Don't you think Irene is crazy?", She asked, which attracted both of the guys attention"

"Not crazy but I think she lost her mind somewhere", Sungjae retorted.

"But guys why Swimming out of all sports? Why not badminton, Volleyball or any other sport?", Seulgi asked, with a perplexed expression.

"Because Joy will also participate in Swimming. Did you guys forget that Joy is a National level swimming player? So, it's obvious that Joy will choose swimming", Taehyung said. Hearing him both Seulgi's & Sungjae's mouth were wide open.

"Oh yes! Why didn't I think about it before?!", Seulgi agreed with Taehyung. She took a sandwich from the plate & started eating.

"Do you even have a mind to think Seulgi?" , Seulgi immediately slapped Sungjae on his shoulder on hearing his comment & thew her sandwich back on her plate with a frowning look.

"Stop it guys. Stop fighting. We already have many things to solve. Don't cause more trouble", Taehyung brusted on both of them.

"Miahn", Both of them apologized.

Taehyung kept his hands on his head in frustration,"What have you done Irene", Taehyung said himself.

Meanwhile...

"Good Morning students"

"Good Morning Mr. Choi"

"So you are the students from Los Angeles's University", Mr. Choi asked as he sat on a sofa.

"Yes sir", Said a girl seated next to Joy.

"So let me introduce myself properly. As you all know that I'm Mr. Choi Oh Seong, Owner & Director of this University & I just hope that you guys will enjoy staying here in Korea. We will take a proper care of you guys. You will be staying in an apartment of mine, which has been empty since the day I buyed it. Mrs. Ryu, our English teacher, will also live there with you guys & if you find any problem then just contact my Secretary", His Secretary handed out Mr. Choi's visiting card to Joy.

"Khamsamnida", Joy thanked.

"Why do I think that I've seen you somewhere before?!", Mr. Choi asked.

Joy felt uncomfortable at his question. She didn't know what to answer. She cleared her throat,"Yes. Actually, I have been a student of this University, before I went to Los Angeles's"

Her reply made her other mates to look at her. They were shocked. Joy never told them about her studying in this University before.

Suddenly Mr. Choi's Secretary whispered something to him. Mr. Choi's eyes widened," Oh!! So are you that National level Swimmer from our University?!", Joy nodded in reply gaining weird looks from her friends.

"I feel sad that such an amazing student left our school but I'm happy that you went to such an amazing University. I must say that we are proud of you"

"Khamsamnida Mr. Choi", Joy thanked.

Taehyung's POV

It has already been an hour of me sitting on a bench near to a lake & throwing pebbles into it. Life is so frustrating. When everything happens to be going well then suddenly a storm comes destroying everything. I know that Joy is back, but I don't care much now. We all should move on & I have moved on. It was my mistake that I liked her once. I regret thinking of my past. I never listened to Irene. She kept on telling me that Joy is just obsessed with me & my money but I always considered Irene being jealous of our relationship. Irene was just trying to help me but I didn't believe her & this almost killed her. I was so careless back then.

FLASHBACK

2 years before, When everything was just too perfect. It was my first time being in love. True love I would say. Joy, She is a perfect girl I could ever dream of. Her smile, her voice, her hair, her lips everything was too heavenly perfect. I loved her truly but Irene always had a problem with her. At first I thought that Irene was jealous but later I found out that She was just trying to protect me.

"Taehyung! Break up with Joy"

I was stunned. I didn't believe that my best friend was saying this because she clearly knew how much I loved Joy,"What are you talking Irene? I think you already know how much I like Joy. Then why are you bringing this up again?"

She came near me & kept her palm on my face," She is not good Taehyung. Believe me. She is just using you". Hearing her I just slapped her hand away from my face.

"Enough is enough Irene. I am done with this. I've heard a lot. If you can't respect my & Joy's relationship then you're not eligible to become my bestfriend"

"It's over now" , I announced & left her alone by herself. From my peripheral vision I saw Irene crying. I regretted saying this but it was necessary.

END OF FLASHBACK

I opened my eyes after the flashback & too my surprise, I saw that I was getting a call from an unknown number. I usually don't pick unknown numbers but this time I just picked it up.

"Yeobuseyo", I said with my thoughts still wandering here & there but no one replied. I was able to hear the breathing of the person on the other side of the phone. It gave me a very weird sensation. Then suddenly a reply came which was quite familiar.

"Long time no see... Taehyung"
