Two Of A Difference

True alpha

Veronica's POV

I ran to my house as quick as possible. The words of Alexa were playing endlessly in my head; my eyes can't be red, they just can't be!

Third POV

Veronica burst through the front door of her house and ran straight to her bathroom to see if it was true.

She looked in the mirror but they were just her normal colour. Hazel-nut brown.

So she looks down for a few moments then looked up and her jaw dropped.

"S-she was right" Veronica whispered, taking a deep breath. She didn't know what to do.

All of a sudden she felt a sharp pain in her gums. She opened her mouth to see that not only her canines were sharp but all of her teeth.

Veronica fell backwards to the floor in shock. On her way to the floor her head came into contact with the wall and began to steadily drip blood.

"What is happening!?" Veronica said to herself; trying to stay calm she lifts up her shirt slightly and notices a black mark spreading around her side.

She scrambles to find a first aid kit to help her but instead it just increased the throbbing pain in the back of her head even more. She then remembered that in her room, on her shelf, close to the back is a book with everything to know about mythical creatures.

She tries to make her way to her bedroom but the pain starts to spread around to her stomach.

Veronica then feels a sting both of her palms and notices Alexa in front of her. "Veronica your ok!" Alexa said whilst hugging Veronica tightly "why did you slit my hand with a knife?!" Veronica demanded, a little annoyed with the pain. "Don't you remember? That's how we get out of our mini nightmare-attack-thingies silly" Alexa said, almost bursting into a giggle fit afterwards.

"I'm sorry Alexa I need to head home. I'll see you later?" Veronica offered softly. "it's okay!" Alexa replies, a cheery smile on her face.

Veronica heads to her room and goes for her diary.

Dear diary,

It's happened. I finally became an alpha, I thought this wouldn't happen for a while yet but I guess my deduction was wrong. I've never been this happy before about something. At least now when we next have a full moon I can control myself and won't go absolutely crazy.

Veronica puts her diary away and lays back onto the headboard with a big smile on her face. She finally became the alpha for being genuine and earning it instead of harnessing the power by stealing from another.

There was a massive thud on Veronica's house door that made her jump out of her skin. She quickly jogged downstairs and tried to show how tough she was to whoever was on the other side of the door.

"Don't even think about trying to come in here or you'll never see the broad of daylight!" Veronica growls as she bared her fangs to defend herself.

"Now Veronica is that really how you greet family?" The person said sarcastically. Veronica slowly opened the door. it was Veronica's step brother, Jack.

"Jack! What are you doing here?" Veronica asked.

"I need your help" Jack said as he looked to the ground.

"Sure. What's up?" Veronica asked with a worried look.

He lift his shirt up and had an identical mark spreading round his side like herself...
