Vanessa's POV

I was standing in the forest, everything around me was dull and grey. I began to walk around in search for another life form.

I could make something out in the distance but it was extremely blurry, I then realised I wasn't wearing my glasses.

I walked closer to the objects, there were three humans, two crouching down and one laying flat on the cold misty ground.

I cautiously approached the three.

"Hello?" I questioned.

No one answered, they just kept their backs against me.

I reached my hand forward and touched the short ginger haired one. To my surprise my whole hand went right through her.

"H-hello?" I asked again more nervously.

Still no answer.

I walked around to get a more clear view of their face.

"Mark! Abbey?!" I bellowed into my siblings faces.

It was as if I was invisible or I was a...ghost!

I peeked below my feet to decipher who was the human laying flat on their back, I almost screamed.

There I was, lying lifeless on my back. My body slowly turning a dark grey, I was desiccating!

I must have been on the other side! Ever since the Regan witches reconstructed it vampires and other supernatural creatures go there when they die or are near death!

"Hurry!" I heard Mark faintly shout at Abbey.

"I'm trying! If I do this wrong she's gone for good!" Abbey cried.

"Fathers gonna kill me!" Mark whined.

Wow! Even when I'm dead Mark finds a way to be even more of a dushbag!

I carefully overlooked Abbey as she gently removed small splinters from my chest.

"Just pull out the big one!" Mark shouted,

"Be patient!" Abbey sobbed.

"That's it!" Mark bellowed impatiently.

He pushed Abbey backwards and began to viscously remove splinters from my legs, back and chest. I watched as he ripped the long sharp slab of wood from my gut!

I felt a sharp pain, as if something was pulling me back!

I shut my eyes tight!

I slowly and cautiously opened them, I could make out a faint outline of Marks dark brown curls.

"Oh thank goodness you're ok Vanessa!" He laughed.

"Thank goodness is right!" Abbey cried pulling me into a hug.

I was to week to hug her back so I just smiled a little.

"I'll get her blood!" Mark stated as he super sped off.

I lay there peacefully in Abbey's hug, but then I realised something!

This thing or person or whatever is following me is trying to kill me!

This has to be another sign! I need to leave this town and move far far away!
