Veronica's POV

It was fun too hang out with Alexa again we haven't been able to do that for a few years.

But anyway I'm nervous to see chief what if he did find out about me talking to Vanessa.

Third person POV

Veronica turned back to see Alexa wishing her good luck before she started to run back home.

"Miss Hayles, Chief wants to see you" a guy walked through an old wooden door.

Veronica makes her way down the hallway to see Chief standing facing the opposite way.

Veronica goes to speak and break the awkward silence but Chief speaks first.

"It's nice to see you again Veronica" he said turning around.

"Nice to see you as well Chief, may I ask why I'm actually here?" Veronica said pushing her hair begin her ear.

"Of course I wanted to congratulate you" he said smiling.

"Congratulate?" Veronica repeated confused.

"You managed to fight back and defend for jacks funeral and I wanted to help you recover until you feel like you'll be alright"

"I-I'm happy you want to help me but I'm already feeling better, I got what I wanted and that was all I wanted to do for him" Veronica responded with a weak smile.

"I'm really proud of you Veronica, I wish we had more tough people like you" Chief said as he headed towards the doors.

"I will let you get back to what you were up to and don't forget If you ever need to know anything you can talk too me, alright?"

"Yeah thanks sir" Veronica says as she heads out the door but there was one thing on her mind.

"Well actually I have one question..."
