ROCKY POV

It was 12:30 and I already had our whole date planned. I finished fixing up my hair and brushed my teeth. It's weird, before I met Jules I didn't care about my appearance or what people thought of me, but I felt the need to look good for her, was this what she was feeling yesterday?

I put my wallet in my pocket and walked out of my room. As I get downstairs, my mum looked at me with a blank look. No expression at all, it was as if I really was a stranger.

I went into one of the cupboards in the kitchen and pulled out the container. I really didn't want to do this but I felt that this was the way to make the best of our date. I only took one of the mood tablets, because the date was only for a few hours so I wouldn't need it to last long.

I swallowed it quickly and made sure I had everything. I was almost at the door when I heard Rydel call out to me.

"Rocky!"

I turned around and say my sister in her sweats and a tank top, which was weird for her because she was always one for dressing up. Her eyes were red and puffy and she had no makeup on at all. Aside from Ross, Rydel was probably the sibling I was next closest with, so seeing her like this made me kind of worried, but then it occurred to me that I was probably the reason she was so upset.

"Yeah..."

"Ummm... we have band practice at 4 today.."

"yeah ok..whatever"

She looked a bit taken back. I just really struggled to find joy in music, so band practice didn't seem all that exciting, not to mention the fact that all my family hates me.

"It would mean a lot to us if you came"

I just nodded and walked out the door. I didn't have time for talking, and no doubt it would have led to another argument. I just got in my car and drove off to Jules'. During the ride there I could already feel my mood changing. I felt so much happier.

---

The door opened to reveal an absolutely stunning girl. Jules had on a short white dress that was sleeveless and flowy. It stopped around mid-thigh. She had her hair in a messy braid and it looked so perfect. I just wanted to ditch our plans and stay here instead, in her bed...

Anyway I grabbed her hand and led her towards the car. I'm glad she wasn't overdressed and that she was wearing sandals because where I had planned for us to go was not a good place to be dressed up. As I was driving there, I had my hand in her leg, intertwined with hers. She made me feel so special and as if I belonged. With her is where I meant to be.

I pulled up around the corner from where I was taking her, because I wanted it to be a surprise. She looked over at me confused. I don't blame her; we stopped in the middle of a suburban street. I reached into one of the glove boxes and pulled out a blindfold.

"I'm gonna put this on you and I'll lead you to our date", I explained.

"What if I trip?" She looked worried.

"Do you trust me?"

"Of course"

"Then believe me when I say that you are not going to fall"

She smiled at me and allowed me to tie the blindfold around her head. I told her to wait before I hopped out of the car and rushed around to her side, opening the door for her, and leading her out of the car. Holding her hand I guided her to the front of the carnival before pulling off the blindfold. She looked around and the huge smile on her face told me she liked it.

"This is awesome, but it's completely empty..."

"Well, being in one of the world's biggest bands does come in handy"
