"It's a thousand pages, give or take a few. I'll be writing more in a week or two."

Lucy plugged in her earphones and turned her playlist into shuffle. It's the first rain of May.

She had watched all the movies Tine transferred into her laptop. She had to admit that she likes rainy days better than summer. She likes lazy days like these while listening to the rain, watching her favorite movie, or reading a book over a cup of coffee.

After few tracks, she got up from the bed, went downstairs and nurse herself a cup of her mom's favorite mint tea. She opened her social media accounts. She gained five followers over the weekend at ilang comments sa recent blog post niya. The said blog post was titled, Excerpt From The Book I Wish To Write. It was a scene that bothered her mind for months. It was just a one-shot scene at dahil hindi naman niya madugtungan o malapatan ng kwento ang nasabing eksena ay napili na lang niya na i-published iyon sa blog niya.

Her mom would always tell her to write everything that pops into her mind. The same reason why she always keep a journal with her. She likes scribbling random thoughts. She dreams of being a published writer someday. But her parents are always supportive of her.

It seemed like he's in a rush at mukhang hindi na yata nito narinig na nagpasalamat siya. It was a cliché meet-cute. Too movie-like. Although hindi niya alam kung counted ba 'yon as meet-cute. They go to the same class together at bukod sa pangalan nito ay alam niya rin kung saan ito nagta-trabaho. And as if he remembers her. He looked uneager and bored, always. And she thinks that he's nice enough to help her with her things.

She felt bored the rest of the afternoon. She brought her cup of tea on the living room and decided to watch her mom's set of Friends DVDs. She picked the first season and set it on the player. Her mom works as an editor. Her dad used to do the same thing, pero tuwing weekends lang usually. Her dad's working on the paper and has to be at the office during weekdays.

"Hi sweetheart," bati ng mommy niya pagbaba nito. Her mom's been working all day. May tinatapos kasi itong bagong project and she spends most of her time, proof reading.

"Hey mom."

"Want to go out?" narinig niyang bumukas-sara ang pinto ng ref nila.

"I need to be somewhere. I've been working here all day.

"I love Chandler with that season 1 hair," dagdag nito dahilan para mapangiti siya. Iyong pinapanuod niya ang tinutukoy nito.
