I absolutely love Friday's and today is no different. I'm actually excited because Omari is picking me up from work today and we are literally spending the entire weekend together. No work. No friends. No parents. It's just he and I and it's long overdue.

"What are you over there day dreaming about"? Kelly asked. It was 3:45, I had fifteen minutes left before Omari came.

"I'm ready to get out of here"

"Is that fine boyfriend of yours picking you up today"? Kelly gawked.

"Eyes off. He's mine" I laughed.

"Ain't nothing wrong with looking" she said as she popped her gum in my ear. Paying her no mind, I stared clearing my desk in hopes that I would be leaving soon.

As if on cue, my handsome man walked through the doors. My smile grew wide as he walked closer to my desk. He looked so handsome in his suit

"Good afternoon beautiful" he said placing a kiss on my lips.

"Afternoon" I mumbled

"Omg you guys are so annoying" Kelly said. I grabbed my purse and keys making sure I gave Kelly the finger as I exited the office.

"What was that about"? Omari asked completely oblivious to Kelly's actions

"Don't act like you don't go through this all the time" I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Through what"? he asked

"Women gawking at you, acting pressed, being googly eyed" I said as we both entered his 2013 Lexus. He chuckled amusingly before interlocking his hands with mine

"You don't think I have to deal with men staring at your ass or fantasizing about what's mine"?

I smirked and rolled my eyes. He did have a point.

You know what's great about being in a relationship? It's the spontaneity of it all. It may be cliché but it really is the little things that make a girl smile. All I wanted to do was chill at home with my man but he had other plans. I don't know what, but I was told to be ready by 7 o'clock.

As I am getting ready, I couldn't help but smile. This is the happiest I've been in a while. Omari and I have been together for 6 years. Of course it hasn't been a walk in the park but more recently we've been open and communicating better. It's like I fall in love with him every day.

"You almost ready"? Omari called out. I was not where near ready so I scrambled to put something together.

"Uh, yeah" I lied.

"Five more minutes Bey"

I didn't have the slightest idea of what to wear so I settled for a yellow blazer, jeans, and a white shirt with some heels of course.

"Finally" Omari said as I made my way down the steps.

"Where are we going"?

"It's a surprise" he smiled.

I was completely taken aback when we arrived at the Brooks Atkins Theatre.

"Babe tell me you didn't" I smiled.

"Of course I did" he cheesed. I had been begging him to take me to see the musical since I found out Fantasia was a part of the cast.

"Oh you're definitely getting some tonight" I whispered. The two of us made our way inside of the theatre and to our seats.

The show was absolutely breathtaking. I enjoyed every minute of it. After the play was over we got dinner and then went home. It was now 12 o'clock and I was completely exhausted.
