"Xstacey? Are you available?" The voice asked.

"Yes," Xita answered, her heart hammering in her chest. Was she ready for this?

"What are your rates?" What the fuck are her rates again? She couldn't remember.

"Umm two hundred an hour," she stated nervously.

"Okay, your ad says you're on Main Street? Which hotel?"

"Motel 6," she said, her and Serenity starting at each other. She couldn't believe she was about to do it.

"I'll be there in about fifteen minutes," he told her.

"Ok." He hung up without saying goodbye.

"What he say?" Serenity asked.

"He said he would be here in like fifteen minutes," she told Serenity, her nerves all on edge. Was she really about to go through with fucking some stranger? An old white man at that?

She was about to do exactly what her mother told her not to do. Never take man from a money from a man, because he always gone want something in return. Well Xita was giving him what he wanted.

Fifteen minutes passed, and the man still hadn't shown up. Her hopes were dying. She was looking forward to getting that two hundred dollars. It was too quiet in the room, just the low murmurs of the TV sounded through out the space.

"How much you make already?" Xita asked curiously wanting to know, and also trying to break the ice.

"I been here since like two and I made five hundred. Booney already took it when he left, though. He left a hundred of it and said we could use it if we need it. We can split it though, I don't mind," she said, her eyes concentrating on her phone.

"Somebody bout to be here, though, so I'm finna go next door. If dude come, y'all can use this room and you can text me when he leave," she explained, grabbing the other room key and heading out of the door.

She didn't even wait for Xita to respond, but Xita was grateful yet again. She even left all the twenties laying on the dresser, then Xita felt her phone vibrate. She read the text and knew exactly who it was.

If he come hide my stuff please and make sure you hide the money too

Xita hadn't even thought about hiding her things. Grabbing her bag of clothes Booney had bought her, she shoved them onto the floor, kicking them under the bed with her feet. She then got up and retrieved Serenity's bag, sliding it under the bed also.

She took the money and looked around the room, thinking of where she could hide it, when she saw a tissue box. It was in a metal thing in a square that was cut into the wall. Walking over to it, she pulled the metal and it popped right out, the tissue falling out.

She tucked the money into the whole in the wall, covering it with the tissue box, and replaced the metal piece that kept the box in place.

Walking back over to her seat on the bed, she grabbed her phone. She was staring at the screen waiting for it to ring and the old man to tell her he was outside, or something.

Her phone vibrated and she pulled up a text from Serenity.

He still there?

No, he ain't even come, Xita replied, feeling a little down. It was about to be her first customer and he didn't even show up.
