Xita walked into the house and was greeted by her mom, Kandy sitting on the floor, with the TV actually on, for once in what seemed like forever, and it wasn't on the news.

"Hey mommy," Xita said, taking a seat next to Kandy on the floor, and placing her head in the crook of her neck, getting comfortable.

"Hey baby girl, did you have fun?" Kandy asked, placing a kiss on Xita's forehead and turning back to the TV.

"Oh my God, mommy, I had so much fun, mama, I had shrimp!" Xita said, her head flying back up. She usually only ate things like noodles, just different flavors, sometimes with crackers. When they were lucky, they would get maybe some fried chicken or pork chops with french fried. "Mommy I went to outback, and I had so much fun with my friends, Mason, Logan and Yasmine," she said, over excitedly.

"Shit, I hope you saved mama a plate, why you bragging," Kandy shrugged her shoulder when Xita put her head back down.

"Oh my God, mommy, I'm so sorry, I didn't even think about bringing any home," she groaned, her whole mood dropping. She was having too much fun and didn't even think about getting anything for her family.

"I'm just playing baby girl," Kandy laughed, her arm, wrapping around Xita's shoulder. "I went grocery shopping today anyways, got all kinds of snacks and everything, bought y'all some sodas," she explained, excitedly, making Xita lift her head up to look up at her, before grinning from ear to ear and laying her head back down. That meant she had been getting the money out of the mailbox. "Tell me what you did today."

"After school, I went to my friend Mason's house, and I was just hanging out with them, and then we went bowling, mommy, it was so fun, and then we went Outback like mom you should have been there!" She exclaimed, getting excited all over again.

"Mason hmm?" Kandy teased, shrugging her shoulder lightly.

"Mom, no, it's not even like that, he's just a friend. It was me him, Logan and Yasmine," she explained, rolling her eyes.

Just then her brothers walked in the house and Tobiance took a seat on the other side of their mom.

"Hey ma," he said, placing a kiss on the side of her head, before sliding his arm behind her neck and pushing Xita's head off her shoulder.

"Ugh why you playing?" She groaned, grabbing his arm and slinging it away, laying her head back down only for him to push it away again.

"What you gone do?" He laughed.

"I'ma tell yo mama!" She snapped like Kandy wasn't sitting in between the two of them, making her laugh.

"Tell my mama!"

"I'ma call yo mama!"

"Call my mama!"

"You so bad!"

"I'm so bad? You just mad, cause' you ain't my daddy!" Tobiance sang out in a high pitched voice, making everyone laugh and Xita laid her head back down, and she pulled out her phone, texting Booney again.

He was trying to get her to work again but she was tired of working. She had just got home, and she just didn't feel like it. Plus there was no way she was going to sneak out, so she told him her mom said she couldn't leave, and then she pulled the crumpled piece of paper from her pocket that she forgot was even there.
