Friday had come, and Hoodie, still hadn't spoken another single word to Xita. She planned on talking to him today though, if it was the last thing she did. She was tired of him ignoring her.

She would try to talk to him in English class, asking for a pencil or a piece of paper, or what did he get on a certain problem, or where was the spot they were reading in the book.

He would never talk, just give her what she asked for without saying a word. Show her his page and point, give her his paper or pencil, show her the answer he got by just pointing to his paper. Xita was slightly irritated.

She still hadn't even called him Tony yet. For all she knew, that wasn't even his name. Anybody could have left that paper there. It's not like he told her he did, she just assumed it. So, she kept referring to him as Hoodie, not that she really talked about him, but Angel always brought him up.

She hadn't worked for Booney all week, but they texted all the time, and he said he wasn't going to give Yasmine another chance, because he ain't have time to waste it on no bitch. Yasmine kept begging Xita to make it work, but Xita didn't know what to do. He already said no.

Xita's mom, Kandy, never said anything about the money that was left in the mailbox, but Xita wasn't about to bring it up. Then she'd know it was her.

After getting dressed in some high waisted jeans, a colorful half top and her black wedge sneakers, she pulled out her phone and sent a text to Booney.

Good Morning Daddy, the text read as she slipped her phone in her pocket and met up with her brothers who were already outside waiting for her.

Tobiance seemed to lighten up a bit, but only because he had scared just about everyone in the school enough to just look, don't speak, approach, or any of that, which Xita was okay with, as long as she had her brother back.

Good Morning Baby Girl, he texted back. She texted him asking how his night had gone and as usual, he didn't get any kind of sleep, because he felt like when he's asleep, he's wasting money, which Xita didn't understand, because he always talked like he was broke.

Finally she decided to breech the topic of Yasmine one more time. I'm working this weekend right? She asked, half listening to her brothers talk about football.

You don't work this weekend???

I work four to nine today and twelve to six tomorrow and I'm off Sunday, she gave him her schedule.

Well Serenity been working all this week, and she going home today, I can take you to the room wen you get off work, he explained and Xita could feel the knots in her stomach already. She didn't want to have to work by herself.

I gotta work by myself???? She never typed a message so fast. She just started, and she wasn't ready to work by herself. Plus, how Serenity worked and she was in school? Or she should have been anyways.

You scared? Hell yeah, she was scared. What if something happened? She'd be all by herself.

Hell yeah! How about I can work with Yasmine? I know you said, she wasn't working no more, but I would be more comfortable if I had somebody with me, she explained and he replied right back.

Do you want to keep working for me? He asked.

Yes daddy. He knew she wanted to work so why ask.
