"Mom! Mom look the letter came in" I grinned from ear to ear running to my mother who was cooking inside the kitchen. "What is it Y/N?? Did it finally come in" she sat the pan down and rushed to me. Eagerness took over my body and I ripped open the letter I had been waiting for since the beginning of my senior year now it was June.

Holding the thin piece of paper in my shaking hands I read aloud "Y/N Y/L we were blown away at your knowledge of our company and even more so when we saw your application video. We are proud to announce you as....our..first American artist to join us. You have a bright future ahead of you and we have prepared a flight for you held within two weeks alone the arrival of the letter entering the States" I nearly screamed my head off when my mother came running and hugging me tightly.

"Did I just hear that my daughter is going to South Korea?!" We turned to see my father smiling from ear to ear running and hugging us both. He cupped my face then kissed my forehead "come on dad it's not like I won't ever see y'all again and besides, you guys can come over for the holiday since Grandma is there with Papa" he nodded hugging me once more. "So when do you leave?" I showed him the paper and his eyes widened suddenly pushing me to the stairs of the house.

"What is it??" I turned while dad showed mom the envelope and then the note and she gasped. "Sweetheart this arrived in the U.S approximately two weeks ago tomorrow morning is when you leave for the flight" the sudden rush of adrenaline pumped through me as I ran up the stairs. Entering my room I ran to my closet throwing things as my parents did everything only making sure I was packing to be ready to go.

I looked around knowing I will miss my Texas home. My phone started to buzz so I pulled it out of my blue jean shorts to see it was my best friend Amelia. "Hello? Is this Y/N? Yes I know she's famous but I'm her best friend from America can I speak to her?" I laughed shaking my head at her dorky attitude. "I'm in your living room by the way I let myself in" I laughed harder running downstairs to see not only my best friend but all my other friends in my living room."Awe you guys" I laughed sniffing and using the palms of my hand to dry up my tears. "Really Y/N you think you could just leave like that and not say bye," Amelia said laughing holding back her tears." of course I would never leave you guys without saying goodbye, ugh I'll miss you guys" I had finished packing and was able to hang out with my friends and a few family members from two blocks down. "Text me, call me, FaceTime me, tweet me understand there won't be a day you don't talk to me" I laughed wiping the tear that fell down Amelia's cheek. "You're my best friend why wouldn't I?" She punched my shoulder and I waved bye to everyone.I slid into the soft blankets I took a breath in and slowly out." New life tomorrow Y/N to start our dream" that night I slept with a confident yet nervous smile for the day to come.
