A Summer to Remember

Preparing for the Flight

Kayla's POV

"Wake up!Wake up!" Amelia and Ruby yelled as I opened my eyes. "Okay,okay im up!Why are ya'll yelling at me to get up?!"I said. "Because it's 12:30 and our parents want to talk to us before we go!" Ruby said."Okay,I'm gonna take a quick shower first." So they went downstairs while I took a shower. I put some shorts and a t-shirt on and went downstairs to see what was so important they wanted to talk to us about. Apparently it was all about the trip!(stuff I already knew,of course!) "Even though your paying,we decided to help you out,here is $100 for ya'll to use while your there.And we expect you to use it very wisely but to have fun," my mom said. "Ahh thank ya'll so much!!!" me,Amelia and Ruby screamed. "And one more thing,you girls better call us atleast once every 2 days!" Amelia's mom said. "Yes,u better!or if u dont...we'll be coming to Australia to find u!" Ruby's mom said as she laughed. We all knew Ruby's mom was just kidding about that though,atleast we had hoped

so! As time went by,it was time to head to the airport. Me, Amelia and Ruby went to load the car while our parents stayed inside talking.

Ruby's POV

"Ya'll know that our parents wont let us go to the airport alone,right?" I said while laughing. "Oh yah of course."Kayla and Amelia agreed. "Although they'll let us go to a different continent alone,but wont let us go to the airport alone!" Amelia said. We all agreed to that while laughing. Once we got to the airport,it was about 2:45 when we were ready to go. And of course our parents were telling us how much they loved us and would miss us!Although we loved them too and would definitely miss them,they really didnt need to start crying! By that time it was now 2:53,almost time to get on the plane. They called us to get on so we said our last goodbyes and gave our last hugs. "Oh and you girls remember to call us as soon as you land and get situated in your hotel!" Kayla's mom said. "Okay,we will Mrs. Bright!" me and Amelia said. "I cant believe this is really happening!And its with u guys!!!" Amelia said as we walked into the plane. "Yah,i never thought it would really happen...im so excited!" I said. "Yah I cant wait!I also cant wait to see our amazing hotel!" Kayla said happily.We then tried to find our seats,which we finally did and got situated and were ready to take off.
