Chapter 29
*ROSE'S POV*
The house is quiet, and sorrowful. Nessie and Jacob are on their honeymoon, and many phone calls explaining the situation was enough for them to stay there. Nessie and Jacob are wrecked. Carlisle and Esme are devastated. Alice is in a state of shock and she's in some sort of empty trance. Jasper and Emmet say nothing anymore. I can't come to terms with the situation. Edward is beyond suicidal. Carlisle and Esme would usually keep him under lock and key whenever he contemplated suicide, but now everyone's ticking away the seconds until he does it. And nobody's willing to stop him. I think it's because we all know that nobody can. I never really had a good relationship with Edward. Nothing really tells me why. Quite possibly because we're just two completely different people. I hear a thud outside. The thud of a body hitting the floor. I hear a whimper from Esme.
"My boy, my boy" She whimpers.
Alice sits with her mouth open, and her mind blank. Emmets eyes widen, and Jasper looks broken. No other sound is made, no action. For Edward is with Bella, and Bella is with Edward. Isn't that how every love story should end?
