Diane Bustamante on the right!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Despite being a little tipsy that time, Alex still insisted he could drive himself. I told him no but he’s stubborn and always had his own way so I let him be and tailed his 2-door, 4-passenger luxury sports coupe, Jaguar XK from behind
I was gripping the wheel so hard that my hands were all pale and sweaty. One moment I was provocative and impulsive like a teenager and on the next I’m full of regrets and second-thoughts like a rational adult should be
Do I really want to do this?
That question filled my mind while I was looking back at Alex’s car. I sighed as a smiling Scarloe flashed before my mind
Im screwed. Definitely so screwed
Suddenly, Alex’s car had stopped speeding up and I just sat their panicking before I abruptly pressed on the brake so hard. And thankfully, It didn’t had a scratch on it on the bumper
I rolled out my window and shouted at him
“What the heck, Alex?! Why’d you stop?”
But instead of answering me, he got off his car and said “We’re here”
I frown as I realized we’re not even close to his unit nor the village where we lived in. We were in a road with lotsa creepy trees which reminded me of that movie ‘The Road’
I slid out of my car and held my arms on top of my chest
“Where on hell are we?”
He just stood there with a complete suave-ness filled in his smile before grabbing my hand.
“You’ll know it soon”
“Seriously, Alex.. This place is giving me creeps” I said while shivering from the cold air. I run my hands up and down to my shoulder and blew a hot breath on my hands
Alex who whirled around and finally noticed that I was cold decided to take off his coat and wrapped it around my shoulder
It was sweet of him to do so and I couldn’t help but smile as he took my hands once again and held it tight
“Mom, we’re here”
Mom?!? What?!
In loving memory of
You will always be in our hearts
I could still picture out how dreadful Alex was during Tita Amelia's death. He was just 14 at that time and lonely. I was there when it happen. Alex was kidnap days after his father's promotion as Secretary of Defense. It was one of the few things that normally happen to Alex even before his dad became the Secretary of Defense
At the young age, he was already kidnap multiple times but at that time it was different. When they were ready to give the ransom, a kidnapper suddenly targeted Alex in his chest and Tita Amelia knew it was coming so She did her very best and shield her son with her very own body
And right before Alex's eyes, the gun shot took his mother's life. I knew how dreadful he was with his downfall. It pains me too watching him mourn on his mother's death so I did my best and stood beside him all through out that's when he thought that the symphaty I felt for him is love ....
“It’s her death anniversary today.” He said smiling down to the gravestone before us. He glanced on to my direction and gave me one of the sincerest smile I have ever seen
“Before She died, I’ve promised her .. Once I knew I found the one I would right away come to her and let her know first”
I looked at him straight in the eyes and knew how serious he was with the things he said to me. He caressed my cheeks while his other hand trailed small little patterns on my hand
“And I knew … the right one is standing before me right now” He muttered as my breathing became hard and heavy when I realized Alex’s face drew nearer and nearer as seconds go by. My body shuddered from the glorious sensation, sweet heat flaring through my heart
The titillating image of Alex right before me, made my heart thump in excitement pounding harsh and loud in my head
A sultry zephyr, cooled by the nearby Gulf waters, breezed over my skin, inspiring me to close my eyes and take deep, soothing breaths. I could hear the gentle rustle of the leafy palms overhead and smell the delicate perfume of wild jasmine and the more exotic fragrance of Alex planted jonquil drifted, mixing with the spicy undertones from the pepper trees, creating a heady combination.
It was a night for romance, for lovers but we weren’t even lovers to begin with. I fluttered my eyes open and then pushed Alex’s chest away from me
Despite of my throat being dry and cracked, I have manage to mutter from my lips “Alex.. This isn’t right”
“What is, Diane?! What is right?”
My lips parted and my pulse kicked up a notch. He saw the subtle pulse of it in the thread-y blue vein on my throat.
"We shouldn't indulge in ... each other, Alex. It’s wrong and you know it"
