Later on that night, I started to feel a little dizzy, the world seems spinning round and round and nothing felt worst than having a massive headache throbbing on your skull. I wouldn’t be surprise with all these things since just few hours ago ..

“Damn it!” I hissed and kicked on whatever there is right in front of my foot.

Nasiraan ako along the way and my phone was dead so I decided to call a cab but to my extreme luck while I was waiting, the wind blew off my umbrella that’s why I ended up drenched and entirely wet

Good thing Manang Rosario was there for me at the time I needed her the most. She handled me a robe after I’ve change then gave me a warm coco but it didn’t help that I was still shivering and sneezing my life out

“Hija, Nagappoy ka na nang lagnat” She said upon holding out the back of her hand to my forehead. I was laying on our couch while a thick furry blanket was wrapped all around me

“Heto, Advil .. Inumin mo na. Pauwi na daw asawa mo. Gusto mo ba ng soup?”

I didn’t say anything else and I just pulled the blanket closer to me
“Balik lang ako paghahanda lang kita”

It took her minutes before Manang laid down the bowl of chicken soup on the coffee table, she assisted me to sit up and I leaned my back and rest my head at the back of the sofa

I shook my head and refused to fill my tummy. I seem to have lost my apetite for some reason and all my mind was screaming for was to indulge my self in a sleep

Then the door bell rang, catching not only Manang’s attention but also mine.

“Mukhang andyan na asawa mo ‘nak” She stood up but tuck the blanket securely around me before she got her feet on the front door

I rolled to my side feeling cold and alone in the dark room. I was about to drift off completely on my slumber but the door of our room suddenly allowed lights to come in my way

“Dee?” It was Tyler, He immediately rushed to my direction and palpate my forehead with the back of his hand

“You’re seriously on fire!” He exclaimed and the next thing I knew, he was already on a rush taking off his suit only to return with Manang Rosario behind him

“Diane, Eat this soup"Tyler ordered and I sniffed when he mentioned my full name.

“Tyler" I whined but he held firm and pointedly stared at me until I took a spoonful of the soup before promptly pushing it away from me once more.

"Love, I know you don't feel like eating right now but you need to finish the soup. You're sick and we both know that your Dad’s going to drag me on my grave if he finds you like this," he told me.

"You don't have to," I grumbled and I was honestly disgusted with how nasally my voice sounded.

Tylersmiled softly at me.

"Yes I do. I love you and I need to take care of you." He ran his hand through my wavy hair and let his eyes run over my face before he pulled away and pushed my soup back towards me. "Now, eat."

For some reason his words were just so tender that I decided to open my mouth while my eyes were still half closed. His warmth suddenly was addicting that’s why I cuddled closer to his arms feeling a little secure

And he didn’t disappoint me. After settling down the soup on the coffee table, he kissed my forehead and wrapped his arms around me

“Let’s get you to bed okay?” He whispered right next to my ear, his chest was vibrating as he spill the words

I did nothing but nod at him as he carried me on a bridal style. My head was resting on his firm chiseled chest as my feet dangle on our way to our bedroom

My head moved slightly with Tyler's sigh. Half-hearted, groggy protests slipped past my lips as my makeshift pillow disappeared. But before I could even pry my eyes open, his arms were under mine, lifting me from the couch, afghan and all.

That was okay, I thought drowsily, because now his warmth enfolded me completely. My arm wound its way around his neck of its own accord as he maneuvered them through the living room.

As he walked, he adjusted my position against his chest. And that was okay, too, because my head rested at a more comfortable angle in the hollow of his shoulder.

I nuzzled my nose into the crook of his neck, sighed with sleepy contentment against his warm skin.
