Chapter 26 -- Sugar spice and your surprise

Liam did the unexpected. I was assuming he’ll think a little of me simply because I’m some slut who opened her legs and poof! Became a bun in the oven for 9 months and then hello Scarloe for me






He didn’t think of me that way, instead .. He lock my baby on his warm embrace and found her really adorable








He was sweet too, sometimes he visits my pad and then brings something for my baby mostly sweets, toys or some kiddie meal or a gallon of Vanilla Ice cream (which is Scarloe’s favorite)






And oftentimes, He would accompany me for some grocery on Thursday nights, watch a movie on my pad with Scarloe during Friday nights. He was very close not only to me but for my baby as well






But there’s always something missing tho ..











“Hey beautiful!” He said laying out a cup of coffee just beside my table. I looked up and smiled at those beautiful hazel eyes






“Hey yourself” I said grinning at him





“Have you heard?” He sat on the swivel chair right in front of my table and laid his back





“Heard what?” I said tearing my self away from my laptop for awhile to listen to him, I was working on the presentation for the board and I was quite surprise when Liam graced me with his presence right now






“Someone will be replacing Mr. Arañallo’s and Mrs Quives’ on the board”






I eyed him with curiosity and titled my head “That’s impossible, Mr. Arañallo has 25% while Mrs Quives’ has 15% of shares, no one could buy such huge amount of shares .. well, not in this season that is”






“Well, whoever bought the shares might be filthy rich .. Don’t you think?”






I shrugged “Hhmm.. Maybe” and then continued typing what I left behind on my laptop






“Aren’t you even curious who could it be?”







I released a harsh breath and rolled my eyes “Honestly, Liam .. For sure, He’s some old bored bald-headed millionaire who had nothing to do with his life but thought of investing instead. It’s normal .. It’s not like it’s something special. I mean, you bought a share on our company in the middle of June, I wouldn’t be surprise if there’s more of you”









“Well .. Suit your self and goodluck” He resigned and from the corner of my eyes I saw he gave that little salute before he left






Where was he getting at?









But then I brushed off the thought and began typing again. Clearly, Liam must’ve been messing with my head. Yes, that could be it after all, The new share holder who now practically owned the largest shares next to our family might have been old cranky and bored--- He must be!







I mean, who does that thing these days anyway?









I walked on the largest room where our meeting would be held. Dad hasn’t arrive yet which is weird because he always comes early than the scheduled time








I sat on the swivel chair right beside my father’s. The next thing, The other share holder arrived with such serious looks on their faces --- As always. Most of the share holders are old (well, some are bald-headed) and who came from the most influential and known business family in the business industry











Liam grinned at me the moment he slid inside the glass door.
“Nervous?” He said still his smile didn’t fade







I raise my chin and smirk “Not quite actually”





“Thought so”










Something was weird about Liam. He knew something that I didn’t and this curiosity in my mind is starting to itch








I was about to ask him what could he have on his sleeves but was cut off when the door finally opened and revealed my Father who seems busy talking to someone beside him







I couldn’t tell who it was since my Dad is quite a big man hence, he was block the view but when he completely made his way inside …










Beside him stood ….










“Tyler?!” I said surprised, horrified and dumbfounded all wrapped into one.

I sat in the back of the conference room in stunned stupefaction. It had honestly never occurred to me until that moment that the guy I’ve been trying to escape and loathing for is actually the guy who bought the 40% of the shares








I cringed and slunk down in my seat in mortification at what was I seeing. My relationship withTyler was bad enough and had taught me that if nothing else you don't want to mix business with personal issues
