"Well you see..."

~Topaz's POV~

"Well my family..... They all are.... Well.... They're werewolves...."

Of course Blake had to go stating the obvious, "But you don't smell like a wolf."

Well no shit Sherlock! How long did it take you to figure that one out?Jewels instantly scolded me for my thoughts about one of our beloved mates.

"Well when I turned 16, I didn't shift into a wolf like I was supposed to."

A look of realization and pity came across both of there faces.

Jewels scoffed, "If they think because you got me instead of some over sized dog that it is something to give you pity then they are dead wrong! I am much better than some lame wolf!" She almost yelled in my head.

"Ya ya, I know how you think of yourself, but remember our mates are wolves along with our family, so be careful how you speak," I scolded.

They saw me zone out and were instantly confused.

"If you don't have a wolf why did your eyes glass over, and you zoned out like we do when talking to our wolves?" Daniel questioned.

I froze. I didn't know what to say, I mean of course I trusted them, but I don't want them to know. At least not yet. Would they even still want me after they found out?

"I...I.... Well I can still mind link with members of my pack," I said, satisfied with my answer. I mean technically I haven't lied to them yet.

I didn't shift into a wolf on my 16 birthday, and I can mind link my pack, so I haven't lied yet!

They both looked like they finally figured something out that has been bugging them, but I'm not sure what. They started to tell me what their father had told them about why I had to mates.

After, I couldn't help but feel scared at the fact that one of them might think I love the other more and try to take their own life.

After that they left, and I now lay sleeplessly thinking to myself how tomorrow was going to be very interesting.

I woke up and got ready for school. Ya! Hint the sarcasm.

I got to school and started to look for my mates, instead, I saw a face that usually would of made me jump with joy, but now made me turn pale and my eyes go wide.

There, standing right across the school yard was my boyfriend, Jake Johnson.

He started walking toward me smiling.

"I thought I would surprise you by coming home for your birthday." He told me.

You seem confused. Let me explain. Jake and a few other male wolves decided to go to school in a different state because of their parents telling them they need to study abroad. Their parents wanted them to got a different country to understand other cultures, but the best the boys would give them was a different state.

With the whole mate excitement I had completely forgotten about him.

He pulled me into a hug. When we pulled apart he went to kiss me. Me, being me, didn't notice because I was looking for mates.

As soon as his lips met mine I pulled away, but unfortunately it was to late. My mates saw him kiss me, and all anyone heard was two thundering growls.

My mates ran toward us and ripped me from Jake's grip. They started punching him repeatedly while Jake cried out for them to stop.

They both turned to look at me. The disappointment did not go unnoticed.

I felt my self whimper at the look on there faces.

Daniel was the first to speak, "How dare you do this to us! Do you know how it feels to have your mate kiss someone else?!?!" He yelled. Thankfully this is an all wolf school.

"Daniel its not...." He cut me off before I could say anything else.

"I don't want to fucking hear it Topaz!" With that he walked away.

I turned to Blake hoping he would listen, but he looked just as mad as Daniel.

"Blake please...." I begged but he just looked away.

"Save it Topaz." And stormed off with Daniel.

I turned around to see Jake is up, and thanks to our fast healing, he is almost completely fine.

"Topaz please, I didn't know!" He said.

"Oh save it Jake! You should have known from your wolf telling you it was wrong, me not reacting to you, or the fact that two very fucking pissed off alpha twins were staring at us!" I yelled at him.

I walked away. I should stay, but I couldn't. So, in a nice compromise, I skipped 1st hour then went to the rest of my classes.

Okay so some of you may hate me, but I had to. I needed something to spice this book up a bit. I plan in putting up another chapter today or tomorrow.
