band & knitting

"you're in a band and never told me!" della said, running her fingertips across my guitar.

"i didn't think it was important." i shrugged, pretending to play drums. i was basically mimicking what ashton does on stage, especially those weird faces he makes.

"cal?" she said softly, looking at me.

"yeah del?" i said, getting up and going to my guitar. i put the strap around me and fingered some chords.

"did you ever write a song... about jen...? or maybe even your family?" she whispered, her beautiful eyes still focused on me.

my body stiffened, if you know me these are subjects i don't enjoy talking about. but if it's that important to della then alright.

"yes. i did actually." i admitted, looking at her.

"would it be too much for me to hear it?"

"no. i guess not."

"i noticed some of your guys songs are on youtube. is it on there?"

"yeah."

"what is it called cal?"

"lost boy."

"calum please. i think it will be good for you!" della said, shoving the paper in my face. it was a knitting class.

"della i'm not an old lady. do you think that's what i am?" i chuckled, inspecting the paper.

"i'll do this but i swear if the boys are coming in gonna stab them with my pointy stick."

"you can stab me with your pointy stick."

"della, shut up." i joked. she placed a hand on her heart.

i pinched her keeps and kissed the top of her forehead.

"cmon babe. we are gonna be late." i said as we hopped into my car. the studio where we would be learning how to knit was down the same street that the crash was on.

where jen died.

"cal are you okay?" della said, laying her hand on my arm.

"yeah.. this is just the street."

"oh.."

"it's fine. anyways, this one right here?" i asked and she nodded. i pulled into the tight space and we got out, entering the studio that smelled like strawberry milk.

i looked around and saw nothing but older women. no guys.

this was going to be a long three hours.
