"close the damn blinds michael!" i said, placing my pillow over my eyes. i felt him climb into bed next to me.

"michael this is gay." i stated. i was annoyed.

i threw my pillow at the window and looked at the human beside me, but it's wasn't michael.

it was jen.

"you called me sunshine so i brought you some." she smiled, oh god her smile. i missed her smell and the way her eyes were always bright with wonder.

i couldn't believe what i was seeing.

"jen!" i screamed, hugging her. her hair smelled the same.

"i missed you so much." i cried, trying to clench my eyes closed to i wouldn't cry so much.

"i missed you too calum." she whispered.

"you'll be with me soon." she said, her body slowly fading away. i screamed, yelled, but nothing was bringing her back. the curtain was still opened and my pillow was still thrown on the ground.

"what the hell man?" luke said groggily, rubbing his eyes. della was beside him with smeared makeup and messy hair.

"l-luke!" i yelled, still crying.

"she was here.." i said, running my hand over the place where she sat.

"who was here?" della questioned, her eyes brows knitted together.

"jen!" i smiled. she looked at me like i was crazy.

"you are worried about some dead girl! calum, she's gone! dead! it seems you love a dead woman more than you love the one who's alive and loves you so much!" she yelled, wiping her eyes. she ripped the necklace that i gave her off and threw it on my bed.

"give it to jen."

.

"she didn't mean it." luke said, patting my back.

"it was just in the moment." ashton agreed, setting down the bowl full of munchies.

"why would she say something that she knows would hurt me so bad? if felt like, like she ripped a piece of my soul out and just stepped on it and laughed. she hurt me.. everywhere." i said, lifting the beer to my lips.

"yeah, i get that. drinking is not the answer though." michael said, taking my beer from me and chugging it down.

i rolled my eyes and focused back of the tv, shoving a handful of munchies in my mouth. we were watching catfish when the doorbell rang and ashton went to answer it.

should i tell them what jen said? how would i tell them that if i don't even know what that means?

you'll be with me soon

my heard hurt from thinking about it too much.

ashton walked back with della. she held a bag on munchies and sprite, my favorite combination.

i looked back at the tv while she sat down on her knees in front t of me.

"calum.. i'm so sorry for this morning. i know there's no excuse for how much i hurt you and all the terrible things i said, but i really am regretfully sorry. i know jen was your everything calum, i totally get that. and i know you loved her so much and she disappeared from your life so suddenly and i know it hurts you and i honestly hate myself so much for saying what i said. i went home and i just- i couldn't. i threw all my stuff on the ground and now there's glass everywhere- that's why my hands are bandaged up," she looked at her hands and chuckled.

"but you mean so much to me calum.. and.. i love you." she looked down. i leaned closer and picked her chin up, making her look at me.

"i love you too, della."
