"Yeah, but there's no egg." Erin said slowly. "What do you mean there's no egg." I told her trying to stay calm. "Well, the... The bear took it." "WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE BEAR TOOK IT?!" I whisper screamed at her. "Well, I know where that bear 'lives'."
"Let's go. Right now." I said to her. "Like, now now?" "Yes Erin. Now, now." " alright then. Let's go!" She peeked through the log into the road, then started running to where her treehouse is. I started running but my backpack was SO heavy. I took a little sip of water, we ran for a long time.
When we finally got to the cabin she ran up into the tree house to grab my old backpack that had the egg in it. I followed her. "I don't believe in hurting animals, I'm a vegetarian. Let's save that egg." She put a thick rope in the bag, 2 water bottles, a fishing net and a can of spaghettios. I was questioning her choice of bag space but I trusted her. We took the zip line system all the way to riverbank and she pointed at a mountain. There was a small cave, that's where it is. Erin took out the fish net and caught 3 and put them in MY bag! Gross. She pulled a weird gun out of her bag. It was a grappling gun, I have never seen one work. But I guess I trusted Erin. This I was iffy about. She grabbed me around the waist and clicked us into a belt holding us onto the rope. It was like how you get strapped into a harness. She clicked the gun, we went flying! Across the lake we flew, up to a mountain. We nearly hit the mountain, but Erin kicked off. I helped the second time. The grappling hook was hooked at the very top, she clicked a second button and it pulled us slowly to the top. We were stuck, there was no ledge to grab onto. We started swinging over. We would have to jump directly into the cave.We swung and kicked so hard. We did it, on the edge we stood, waiting. There was a faint noise, an echo from the cave. Erin turned to look at me, are faces almost touched. Then I realized, I, I have feelings for her. We went into the cave, but we left the harness on incase we needed a quick escape. There was a little pocket in the cave, we snuck through the pocket. There it was. The bear, it was asleep.
Erin and I were as silent as a mouse. I pulled out my knife, just incase. The pocket ended, but the egg wasn't in sight. I pulled out my flashlight, and showed it to Erin. She noded. I turned it on the darkest setting. Not near the bear, but there it was. The egg was on the opposite side of the long cave.
