Chapter 27

Selena's P.O.V.

I looked at the clock. Only 6 more minutes till the bell rings. '6 more minutes.' I thought. The bell rang. I walked out of class and saw Justin. He flashed a smile, and I smiled back. I ran over to Justin and gave him a quick hug. 'I hate how we are just friends.

I mean I thought we were going to be more than that. But after he didn't text me after I admitted I had feelings for him, I didn't know what to do. I mean he did show up to have lunch with me. I mean I just didn't know where we were anymore; relationship wise.' I thought.

Justin and I walked into the school's parking lot. I unlocked my car and Justin and I got in. I drove us to the mall. We got out of the car; I locked it. We walked up to the front door of the mall. Justin walked up ahead of me and opened the door for me. "Thanks." I said with a smile.

Justin and I walked into the mall side by side. "So where do you wanna go first?" I asked. "Uhm wherever you wanna go." Justin said. There were so many options; 3 floors of stores. There had to be a store he wanted to go to. We walked by a store and I heard a song I liked.

"Oooh I love this song." I said. "Me too." Justin said. We both smiled at each other. We stopped in front of the store. "You wanna go in there?" he asked. I looked at the front of the door. There was no way I could afford anything in there. A dress in there cost more than the money I had in my purse, and what my purse was worth. I looked at the dresses in the window. They were all so gorgeous but all out of my budget. "Uhmm.....It's okay. There's other stores." I said.

"No come on let's just go in." he insisted. I followed Justin into the store. There was no way I could afford anything in here. I mean Justin probably could, but all they sold here were dresses. "SO what color were you thinking of wearing?" Justin asked. "Really anything but gold." I replied. "Why not gold?" he asked. "Taylor's wearing gold. So I can't wear gold." I said.

I wasn't thinking of wearing gold in the first place anyways. But it was good to know Taylor was wearing gold so I wouldn't wear the same color as her.

I looked around the store in hope of finding a clearance rack. My mom and I had always window shopped at this store. They had the most beautiful dresses out of the whole mall. But my mom would never let me come in here. So I wouldn't fall in love with a dress then be depressed because I couldn't buy it.

Unfortunately; there was no clearance rack. I had to get out of this store. What if I found the perfect dress and I couldn't afford it. "Uhm Justin do you mind if we go to a different store?" I asked. "Yeah sure." he said. I quickly turned around and walked forward. I ran straight into a mannequin.

The mannequin teetered then started falling towards me. Justin put his hands in front of me to stop the mannequin from falling on me. "Thanks." I said while blushing. Justin put the mannequin back in its original position. I walked to the front of the mannequin to make sure I didn't ruin the dress.

I looked for snags and dirt. Then I started looking at the dress and pictured myself in the dress. This would be the perfect dress to wear to Taylor's Hollywood themed party. Justin walked over to me, and stopped when he was by my side.

That dress was so perfect. I loved it so much. I had to have it. "Sel, you should try this dress on." Justin said. "Yeah. It's so beautiful. Can you get a worker for me?" I asked. Justin nodded and walked over to the cash register. I looked at the dress. It was perfect.

It was floor length, v-neck, and had a matching band wrapped around below the chest, it was spaghetti strapped, and beautiful. The best part was it wasn't gold. It was red.

Justin came with the worker. "Can I please try this dress on?" I asked kindly. "Yes but I must let you know that this is the only one we have left. So if it isn't your size I'm sorry." she said. The worker went behind the dress and unzipped it to check the size. She signaled for me to come over to her. I walked over to her hoping it would be my size. But then again I was hoping that it wasn't so I wouldn't fall more in love with it if I got to try it on.
