Almost a year had past. The girls had broken apart due Alison's disappearance. Aria moved away to Iceland with her family. Spencer had filled her day planner with studying and after school activities. Emily was concentrating on swimming. Hanna had become friends with this girl Mona and I just spend my day getting it to go over. Studying and hiding out by the swimming pool, afraid to talk to Emily. I felt like we were getting along really great, not just because of the kiss we had shared that night, but I also had already considered her as one of my friends.

"Not going out today either?" Aaron asked as I sat at home on the couch, refusing to get up. "With who?" I asked, looking at him. He had apparently forgotten about the fact that my friend from childhood had disappeared, maybe even had been murdered right in front of my eyes and that the other girls and I aren't even talking anymore.

"Go out and do something!" Aaron said and pulled me up from the couch and pushed me towards my room. "Why? I don't have any friends to something with, nor other people I know" I told him, but he didn't show any mercy. So I ended up changing and leaving the house, going to a place that no one my age would go to on an afternoon. School.

I actually wanted to sit down in front of it, watching something on my phone, but I ended up going to the door and looked if it was open, which it was to my surprise. I looked around before entering the building. I walked to the library and sat down in front of one of the computers and tried to turn it on, which it eventually did.

"Gotcha!" A male voice suddenly said and I turned around in shock. Luckily it wasn't a teacher, it was just the computer freak of the school. "No other hobbies than to be in school after hours?" He asked and I looked at him "Could ask you the same thing" I said. "I live here" He said and leaned against the door frame. "You live in the school? Why not go home?" I asked. "When you can tell me a better place than home, I'll go there and I'm assuming you are here because you were bored and wanted some thrill" He said, but I shook my head no "Completely wrong. My brother wanted me out of the apartment for some reason" I said and laid back in my chair.

"Seems like we are both coming here to be alone and have some peace and quiet" He
said and I bit my lip, but I didn't want to show how uncomfortable I was feeling "It's Lauren by the way" I told him. "Caleb" He said and sat down on the chair beside me. "Guess we are both freaks. The computer freak and the lonely follower freak" I said and he seemed confused "What now?" He asked. "I was friends with Alison DiLaurentis before she went missing, but I guess it doesn't make you popular with the students here" "Not really" Caleb said.

"Didn't think so. After all I am still friendless" I said and looked at the computer for a short moment. "What happened to the other followers?" He asked curious, but somehow I had the feeling he wanted to be nice. "They all went their separate ways. One is even going her separate way in Europe" "Yeah, that's depressing" "You know what, I have a deal for you" I told him and he looked at me like he was thinking if he could take me serious or not "Oh this is gonna be good" "It is! You are going to be my friend" I said and made a short break "That's not a deal!" "I wasn't done yet Einstein. You are going to be my friend and I'll give you shelter, no matter if my brother will like it or not. With all the things I have done or been involved in, this is the most innocent one" I told him and he looked like he was still thinking.

"I'll need an answer now" I told him to get him to give me an answer faster. God knows how long he would have taken otherwise. "Deal" He said, holding out his hand. I took it and shook it, making our deal official. I turned off the computer again and we talked for a while, before gathering his stuff and bringing it to my apartment. When we entered we interrupted a make out session between my brother and his to me unknown lady friend, who was already half naked. "Already love it here!" Caleb said, standing behind me. "Aaron?" I asked him, crossing my arms in front of my chest "You didn't seriously throw me out of the apartment so you can have sex with some random girl on our couch!?" I asked mad.
