Thirty

I opened my eyes to the light that peered through the blinds, I was still against toms body and he was still asleep. I laid there, still waking up. The house was still quiet and no one was up yet. I listened to toms breathing and how steady it was. Eventually I feel him stir, moving his hand out from under the pillow, he rolled on his back rubbing his eyes. I turned my body and laid my head on his chest. He soon looked at me. And continued to rub his eyes looking at me in between, obviously he was playing around "oh I'm sorry i forgot how beautiful you were" he said smiling

I laugh rolling my eyes at his corny joke. "You're an idiot tom holland" I say siting up straddling his waist. I smiled at him as he smiled back at me. I loved his big brown eyes, they were just one shade of brown and were so dark they looked endless. I took my finger tracing his one eyebrow, I flicked my finger up with the hair of his eyebrow and smiled. His one eyebrow always had part of it that flicked upwards. I giggled as I bring my finger to his nose, he had little freckles that were barely there. I smiled as I took my finger off his face and held my thumb up, closing one eye and turning to look out the window.

I held my thumb infront of me, my arm extended and tom laughed "what are you doing?"

"No matter where you are in the world the sun and moon are never bigger than your thumb, it's the only thing that seems to be true. If you ever feel let down or feel as if nothing is true, just hold up your thumb and double check. "
I feel toms eyes pierce me as he sits up holding him self up with his elbows. I take my thumb down and look back at him.

"What?" I say smiling. Tom sits up completely and holds his thumb up closing one eye.
"Ellis I love you" his eyes tightly fixed on mine. He smashes his lips to mine and we fall back on the bed.

"Morning you two!" Nikki says as we walk down the steps. I smile as I greet her, walking over as she hands me a coffee mug. "I wanted to give you this to put in your house" she smiles as I grip the mug tightly. It had pink ballerinas on it and I turned it slightly seeing it's pattern.

"I saw it as we were out and about yesterday and-" I interrupt her mid sentence with a hug.

"I love it thank you so much" I smile. She looks at me and smiles "I'm glad you like it"

Tom was leaning on the stair case smiling, he winked at me. I ran upstairs and safely put it in my bags, I knelt on the ground as looked at the mug smiling. It was so kind of her to think of me, and give it to me. I was truly grateful I had met toms family. I stood up and walked out of the room, paddy ran infront of me running right into me. "Slow down their buddy, are you okay" I say holding my hand to my head, he helps me up.

"I'm sorry I'm gonna be late for school!" He says trying to fix his uniform and his tie.

"Here let me help" I say kneeling down to his height. I took his tie and tightened it, and centered it in the middle on his shirt, "there we go" I say smiling. He thanks me and we head down stairs.

"Paddy all set?" Nikki asked as she tossed him an apple. She began to put on her shoes and coat when tom stopped her

"Mom, Ellis and I can take him to school, we are leaving soon anyways" he puts his hand on her shoulder and she smiles "thank you Tom" she was relived, I could tell, she was probably still tired from yesterday's day out, and since everyone was still sleeping she had to get up early with paddy. Paddy rushes out the door and climbs into our car. Tom brings out our luggage and puts it in the trunk.

When we arrive at paddys school, there were kids everywhere walking in. Tom sat at the curb and smiled at paddy "alright buddy, have a good day, here's your lunch" I smile at paddy.

"Can Ellis walk me into my class?" Paddy says. Tom and I look at each other and I shrug, I don't mind. Tom makes a face at paddy and winks. I climb out of the car and grab paddys lunch for him. He holds the straps of his backpack and skips inside. "Where's your class pads?" I ask looking around.

"This way" he says pointing at a classroom at the end of the hall. People stared as they passed but paddy and I didn't mind. I follow paddy into his classroom, where boys his age were wandering around talking. I follow him to his desk as they all stared. Paddy went to an all boys school so this was new to me. A couple of boys ran over "you brought her!" One of them said looking up at me. I look down at paddy and his cheeky smile on his face, he obviously was planning this and showing me off, I decided to play along. One after another boys crowded around me and I knelt down to their level. I shook each of their hands and they told me their name.

The only problem was: I was in heels and they were killing my feet, I took them off and the boys laughed. "What?" I said playing along. They all giggled and I sat up on one of their desks, crossing my legs. They all sat infront of me. And started taking off their shoes laughing as they did. "Ah wouldn't it be nice if we didn't have to wear shoes all the time!" I say resting my hands behind me supporting myself. They all laugh and nod their heads. "Now lets see..." I say standing up. I put my hands behind my back and walk around the class. I notice a radio and I turn it on.

Instantly I changed the station and started dancing. They all laughed and one by one stood up. I took some of their hands and spun them around and we all danced around in our bare feet. "Ellis" I heard a voice say. I stopped laughing and stood looking at the door turning the radio off. Very embarrassed. Everyone stopped dancing and a few giggled. "Ellis what are you doing" Tom says standing in the doorway laughing.

"They need to loosen up a bit" I say smiling cheekily.

A few boys giggled and tom walked in like a solider. "Alright line up boys!" He says in a tough voice. All the boys line up side by side next to me in a line and giggle. We all raise our chins up and stand tall trying not to smile. Tom walks infront of us and turns looking at us, also trying not to smile. Each time he got to a boy the giggled and he smiled. He reached me and I stood up straight feeling myself smile. He stopped completely and I looked at him. He was trying so hard not to laugh, and so was I.

I kissed his cheek quick and ran out the door laughing. I heard a bunch of the boys laugh and I peaked back in the room "bye boys!" I say waving as Tom leads me out the door laughing. "Bye Ellis!" I hear them all say. People stared at me and tom as we leave and we both sit in the car laughing.
