Smiling at Micheal, he continued talking about his grandfathers boat while we walked along the dock. His calm demeanor was relaxing and made me like his confidence more and more. "Why don't you we grab something from the bakery?" He mentioned, pointing towards Lola's bakery ahead. That was my favorite place in Manchester, it was equivalent to a Panera in the states. Warm sandwiches and soup, crackers and cheese, muffins and pastries, it was everything I loved and more. Tom and I'd eat here every other Friday on our cheat days, engulfing our mouths with sandwiches and pasta, always ordering a large strawberry lemonade.

"I'll pay" he softly nudged me as I began to take out my credit card. A smile formed on my lips again as I caught his ocean blue eyes analyzing my every move. "Thank you" I replied sweetly.

TOMS POV

Scrolling through Instagram, I studied Ellis's recent post, trying to connect the dots. Flicking past it, I chose not to like it, instead just study it and move on. Never did I read the comments. "Here's your club sandwich" the waitress sat down my tray of food. Leaning back in the chair I brought my eyes up to hers. She was young, probably 18 or 19 and had long blonde hair that neatly laid on her shoulders. "I'm tom" I smiled, watching her cheeks blush, caught off guard.

"Tracy" she replied, setting down my drink. "Would you like anything else?" She warmly smiled, looking like a hopeless puppy waiting for me to respond.

"I think I'm good" I winked suddely, watching her bite her lip. "Thanks" watching her walk away, she looked back once more before disappearing into the kitchen with a flirtatious smile on her lips. Sitting back amused with myself, I sucked on the straw picking up my phone again.

Interrupting my train of thought, a small laugh caused me to look up, scanning the restaurant for which the familiar laugh came from. "Fuck" I whispered under my breath. Ellis was here, ordering something while some other guy joined her, standing offaly close to her. Just getting back from the gym, my hair was probably a mess and I felt sweaty. Slumping down in my seat, I prayed she wouldn't walk past here or see me. Debating on whether to get up or not and hide, I kept sliding down in my seat, keeping a close eye on her. She was wearing the same outfit that was in her picture, her jeans hugging her butt nic- stop. What are you thinking- Tom stop. My brain demanded. That's weird cut it out. But who was this other guy? ...not that I cared anyways...

Quickly making a decision, I held the menu up in front of my face, holding my head down low until I was confident she was gone. A wave of relief washed over me as I watched her leave the place, a bag to go in her hands. Her smile was amazing though, her eyes lit up with each grin.

ELLIS POV

"How about number 6?" Micheal looked up, eating a few chips from a small bag. Picking at my pasta with a fork I flipped through my completed worksheet, giving him the answer and explanation.

"How about we do something else?" I sighed, standing up to throw our trash away. He glanced up, surprised, "what?" I laughed, "I know when a break is needed" he grinned in reply, with a small shrug.

"Alright what do you want to do?" He tapped his pencil on the side of his notebook. His eyes watched me carefully as I sat on the edge of the table thinking carefully. Normally I always knew what to do, but I couldn't think of a single thing.

"What about we go rent some kayaks?" I exclaimed. It was hot out anyways and the water looked beautiful as it glistened from the sun.

"Sure" he chuckled lightly. Was what I said weird? Too random? Should I have said something more normal? Was he expecting something else? Did he take my request as a hint to make out? Should we do that instead? But I really wanted to go outside. "I've never been before" he tilted his head.

"That's okay! I'll teach you" I smiled playfully, grabbing my car keys.
