CHAPTER 23

**Present time**

My wedding eve is really not a night for me, because everytime I'm remembering the happiness I had, it will just suddenly turn into heartaches. I can still feel the pain.

Like what Zac told me, Adam broke my heart into tiny pieces. I love him, yes, but he just throw it all away. Which made me miserable.

That day, when Adam told me that he's agreeing in marrying me, was one of the happiest day of my life. And what makes me more happy is the fact that Adam is the man with me that day, the man that gives me joy with just his presence.

The man that gives me courage to stand up whenever I'm down. I know, my heart knows, that this man is right to marry.

But Adam, is also the same man who shattered the happiness in my heart. His the same man who made me forget to smile and laugh genuinely.

I remember the day when I heard him, heard him talking to someone on the phone. And their conversation, that made me feel so stupid.

**flashback**

Finally, Adam agreed in marrying me. Though, it's quite not ordinary that the girlfriend is the one giving a marriage proposal to her boyfriend, 'cause it must be the other way around.

Adam decided to drop me off at my house after the "reconcilation" we had outside the café.

"You want to go inside?" I asked him after I open the door.

When I turned back to face him, in my surprise he's so near to me. I was expecting that he's leaning on his car waiting for me to get in, I never thought that he was right next to me.

"Adam! You sca-

I wasn't able to finish me sentence when he crashed his lips on mine in one swift move.

He sighed heavily, "As far as I want to, I can't, my wife to be. We still need to settle things tomorrow in the morning. So you need to take a rest now, as well as me."

I smile at him, "Okay my hot husband to be." and I kissed him on the cheeks.

He hugged me first tightly before going back to his car. I wait for him to drive off but he didn't even start the engine.

"What's the matter?" I asked him, confused.

"Well, I'm waiting for you to get inside."

"Oh," I respond "yeah, okay. Well, I was waiting for you to go before I get in. But... okay, I'll get in. Drive safely. The green light means go, the yellow means slow down, and lastly, the red means stop. Okay?"

"Yes mother." He said teasingly and chuckled.

I just smiled at him and fly him a kiss. Before I enter I waved goodbye.

This day made me smiling all night.
