CHAPTER 29

CHAPTER 29: Adam's POV

I've been crying and dying for almost everyday since Katherine and I broke up. Yes, that is so 'girly' thing to do but what can I do, I love the girl.

A ring from my phone hindered me to slumber.

As I look at the screen it showed an unknown number. Who might this be?

"Hello?" I answered.

"Is this Adam? Adam Blue?" a voice of a man responded.

"Yes, this is. May I know who's this, please?"

he cleared his throat, "Uhmm... this is Zac Summers."

What? Is this for real? Why is he calling me?

There was a pregnant pause,

"Oh... what can I do for you?"

"Can I see you tonight? Just need to talk to you perso-

"If it's about Kath or your wedding, don't worry, I'll not intrude. I've caused her so much, so ruining her wedding day is none of my plans."

"No Mr. Blue. You're getting it wrong. Yes, it's about Katherine but I really can't explain this to you now, so, if you don't mind, we need to talk personally. I'll text you the location and text back your confirmation. Bye Mr. Blue. Have a good night." then he hung up.

Afterwards, I received his text message. But before I confirm, I contemplated whether to go or not. This might be a trap.

What if a huge number of men will be there and beat me up to my death? But what if it's really about Katherine? Would I just let this opportunity to slip? Of course not! So, I'll take the risk.

I texted Zac back. I told him I'll go see him.

"Have a seat mr. Blue." Zac said when I came in a cozy restaurant and approached him.

"What would you like to order mr.-

"You could call me Adam, don't be too formal. And please, let's get this straight. I'm not here to really eat and chat with you. Like what you've said, this talk is regarding to Katherine. Shall we start talking?"

"Okay mr. bl- I mean, Adam," he pause first

"I know what you've done to Katherine. I'm aware of how hurt she was when she heard your conversation with someone and how she's hurting right now. I could just make that as an excuse to continue our wedding and tell her that she don't deserve someone like you, but," he clearead his throat,

"But I surely know how she loves you until this very moment. The past can't hurt her anymore if she doesn't feel the same way she felt for you before. I can make sure that I'll never hurt her if we'll get married but, I can't assure her of a true happiness, because I know, deep in her heart there is someone else she wished to be with. A guy she loves with all her heart," he stared at me,

"And I know it's you Adam. It'll always be you."

"Why are you doing this? Why are you talking to me like this? What's your point?"

he lowered his face to the table, "because this is how much I love her. I'm willing to set her free. I'll let her be with the man who could make her happy even just by being beside him," he then lookes at me,

"Adam, take a good care of her. Don't ever hurt her again, 'cause I'll not hesitate to get her from you," then he reached out a piece of paper to me,

"there is where you can find her. Win her back."

I was stunned with what he has done that's why I wasn't able to move immediately. I just looked at him wide-eyed.

"Go!" Zac shouted at me. And i'm back to myself again.

That's all was needed, not the shout, but the realization that I need to go and win her again and never miss this another chance.
