Chapter 8

"Have you read the newspaper?" Maven asked, Camilla shook her head and drank orange juice.

Maven gave it to her and it read, "Miss Granger a plain but ambitious girl seems to be developing a taste for famous wizards. Her latest prey sources report is none other than the Bulgarian bon-bon Viktor Krum. No word yet on how Harry
Potter's taking this latest emotional blow." Camilla chuckled.

"I tried erasing what was written on the notepad but the quill spilt ink on my face" Maven laughed.

"What happened when i left you and Cedric alone?" Fleur butter into the conversation. "Oohh you like pretty boy over there?"

Cedric must've heard because he looked at their table and Camilla quickly raised her hand and with a flick, there was tape on Maven's mouth and she lowered her head.

Maven's eyes widened and tried to take off the tape but it won't.

He poked Camilla and gestured his mouth to remove the tape. She rolled her eyes and removed the tape using wandless magic.

"Thank you!" He said, touching his lips. "So what happened cous?"

Camilla took a bite from her scrambled egg before answering, "nothing."

"How come Madam Pomfrey treated me and not you?"

"Um"

"Did something happen in the room?"

"Nothing!"

"Uh ladies, don't look now but look now. Pretty boy's coming." Camilla didn't look up but instead continued eating.

"Oh hey Cedric. What brings you here?" Fleur asked. "Oh uh i was hoping to talk to-"

"Camilla? Of course! Take her now! She's been talking non stop about you" Camilla glared at Maven and with a flick of her wrist, a tape was on his mouth again.

Fleur covered her mouth and giggled. "Camilla. Go now" she said. Camilla looked at her with uncertainty. "Erm, it's okay if Camilla doesn't want-"

"She will have that talk with you today" Fleur said, a little more serious.

Camilla sighed and stood up. Cedric grabbed her wrist softly then lead her to an empty hallway.

"Camilla?" She looked up and saw his angelic face. A face that anyone could fall for. "I just wanna say that thank you for helping me out. Even thought it was in the last minute but it did help me a lot." She nodded and Cedric sighed.

"Are you still upset about Cho-"

"How's your stomach?" She cut him off. "Camilla stop changing the subject-"

"You should see Madam Pomfrey if it still hurts." She was about to leave when he grabbed her wrist and gave her a tight hug. Camilla was blushing madly.

"Thank you" Camilla's heart beat faster. She couldn't understand what she was feeling. "About me and Cho, there's nothing going on between us. She promised me that she will explain everything to you later. Please don't ignore me again Camilla. I-i missed you."

Camilla couldn't hold it anymore, she wrapped her arms around his waist and buried her face in his chest. Cedric's arm tightened around her.
