Chapter 38

"The Ministry has fallen. The Minister of Magic is dead. They are coming..."

The lynx vanishes. A scream shreds the silence. Then... chaos.

Camilla was carried by the panicked crowd, separating from Cedric.

Suddenly the canopy above turns to ribbons as death eaters -- in dark cloaks and masks -- descend into the crowd. Arthur, Fred and George wield their wands.

Camilla quickly hid behind the table and took out her wand. Then suddenly, a familiar girl with ash brown hair also hid behind the table beside Camilla.

"Raina? What are you doing here?!"

"Same as you" a death eater suddenly appeared in front of them with a menacing smile. The death eater sent them a blasting curse and the two acted quickly by dodging it, sending them both on the ground. Camilla noticed that the death eater had his attention all over Raina who was struggling to stand up from the blast.

"Everte statum!" The spell hit the death eater squarely in the chest and was thrown backwards, far away from the two. Camilla quickly ran towards Raina, "are you okay?"

Raina coughed and nodded. "Where's your father?"

"I lost him in the crowd." Camilla nodded, "stay behind me"

"I'm not a little kid, Camilla. I can defend myself!" Before Camilla could retort, Raina suddenly sent a spell behind Camilla.

Camilla looked back and saw a death eater on the ground, unconcious, then looked back at Raina.

"I'm gonna find my dad" Camilla nodded and Raina left.

The brunette stood up and looked around for Cedric. She spotted him and she was about to go towards him when a spell suddenly hit her and she now lays on the ground, clutching her side as she fell on the ground hard.

A shadow cowered her figure and she squinted her eyes to see to whom then suddenly she felt like her world stopped.

"Missed me?"

Fear, curiosity and anger. That's how Camilla is feeling at that moment upon seeing the person in front of her. "You again?" She says, gritting her teeth.

"Small world huh?" A blue light was suddenly approaching Camilla.

She quickly blocked his spell and sent a spell towards him and stood up.

"Feisty" he says, gliding his tongue on his teeth before sending another spell at Camilla who quickly blocked it again. "You disgust me"

Camilla sent multiple spells at him until she was worn out. The death eater took this as an advantage and quickly sent her a curse, her ending up on the ground again, breathing heavily as her body ached. "I think you have forgotten my name. It's Glaneus" he says as he looked at his target who was breathing heavily on the ground.

"The dark Lord will surely be pleased to see you tonight."

Camilla quickly reached for her wand and stood up. She pointed her wand at him but she was suddenly pushed back and was now facing someone's back.

"You're not taking Camilla anywhere. Not on my watch." Glaneus looked at him from head to toe before looking at him in the eye, "you must be the boyfriend" the death eater says, amused.

"Leave her alone." Cedric says protectively. Camilla was about to interfere but Cedric hid her behind him again.

The death eater's smirk disappeared. Glaneus gripped onto his wand as he pointed it at the two. As a streak of red light came out from his wand, Cedric blocked it and the two sent multiple spells at each other. Camilla was suddenly yanked and she hit someone's chest and a wand was pointed to her head.

"Stop or I'll end her" the death eater said, making Glaneus and Cedric stop their duel. Cedric's heart beat escalated as he saw Camilla who was held by a death eater with a wand near her head.

The Weasley twins high five as they knocked out a few death eaters. The two then noticed Cedric and Camilla in a risky situation. Fred whispered to George then he nodded in agreement.

The two acted quickly and knocked out Glaneus, Cedric quickly sending a spell at Camilla's captor who was now at the far side of the reception.

A voice was suddenly heard that sent chills to their spine.

"All my followers, retreat."

Within a split second, they were all gone. Cedric quickly ran to Camilla and hugged her tightly. "Cedric I can't breathe"

She says and he quickly released her, "for a minute there I thought I was gonna lose you." Camilla sent him a small smile and the twins approached them."

"You gave us quite  the scare there, Camilla." The brunette sent them an apologetic look, "sorry guys." The twins smiled and Fred ruffled her hair, "don't be sorry. It's not your fault at all."

As Cedric thanked the twins for helping him, Camilla scanned the place and it was a complete wreck. The tables and chairs were scattered and flipped over. The parts of the tent were burnt and food was spilled. Not what you want on your wedding day.

"Is everyone alright?" asked Arthur Weasley as he scanned the room to see if anyone was missing. "We're okay dad." answered Fred and George.

"Where's Potter, Granger and Weasley?" someone questioned.

Everyone searched the place but no sign of them.

"They're gone!"
