~This chapter is not related to the previous events in this book. All of the characters are celebrating Christmas at camp.~
There were only a few days left till Christmas arrived in Camp Half-Blood. Most of everyone at camp celebrated Christmas, but didn't talk about it. Alot of campers would stay through holidays at camp because they had no other place to go. Friends would get gifts for each other, but there was no visits from Santa for the younger campers. That was until (y/n)'s first Christmas at camp.
"We have to do something for them!" (Y/n) exclaimed.
"Like what?" Percy asked.
Any camper over the age of 13 had gathered in the mess hall for a meeting organized by (y/n), who was not going through Christmas without making it the best for the little campers.
"Santa? A tree? Presents? Carols? Decorations? Haven't any of you guys celebrated Christmas before?" She asked.
"Where are we going to find a Santa? We have plenty of trees in the forest, we don't have enough money for presents, sure why not, and we don't have decorations." He listed off.
"One of us can dress up as Santa."
"I VOLUNTEER!!" We heard Leo shout. "I actually have an entire Santa costume that I have set aside in cast we need it."
"Do you have a elf costume too?" Someone asked.
"Yes, yes I do. Two actually." He replied confidently.
"Great! You and Nico can be elves and Percy will be Santa." You grinned evily at Percy.
Percy decided it wasn't worth the fight. "Fine."
You turned to Nico who had been sitting silently next to you the entire time. "No." He said.
You gave him the look. "Please." He said.
"One time is all I ask and you'll be the bestest bestyest best person in the while wide world." You said.
"Alright." He huffed with a small, discreet smile.
"As for a tree, we need to find the biggest Christmas tree in the forest and put it up in camp."
"We can take care of that." Clarrise said. The entire Ares cabin nodded in agreement.
"Perfect! Now for decorations, we can make some."
"I think my cabin can help with that." Piper said. "I can steal a couple other cabins to help as well."
"Great idea. Now for presents. I have only 50 bucks. I think that can buy a bunch of small presents." You suggested.
"Or if we all chip in, we can probably get the presents they all want." Percy said. "I have 50 or 60."
"I've got 40."
"30."
"45."
"20!"
Campers started shouting out numbers.
"Alright. We'll set up a donate box. After we get that, we'll send Santa to ask kids what they want for Christmas and have the Athena cabin go get them."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
"So, Ares cabin to the woods, Aphrodite cabin take as many cabins as you need to decorate, Percy and Leo go suit up and ask kids what they want, and I'll have that box set up soon to donate for the presents."
The groups divided and went to work. You set up the box and went to check on Santa and his elf outside. He currently had a kid on his lap who had a big grin on his face.
I skipped over happily. "Hey Santa! How's everything going."
He replied in his best Santa voice which is pretty good to be honest. "Just wonderful. All these little ones have been very good this year."
"Good to hear." You skipped your way to Leo and Nico who were writing down what the kids wanted and placed walked up behind Nico, placing your chin on his shoulder. "How's elfing going?"
"Pretty good I guess. I haven't had any children come push or kick me, so I guess that's good."
"Thanks for helping."
"Of course."
You got off of his shoulder and went to the Aphrodite cabin. "Hey guys how's it going?" They had the entire Hephaestus cabin working in there and a couple people from random cabins.
"Pretty good. Since we have the Hephaestus cabin here, it's going pretty fast." Piper said.
"Glad to hear. Keep up the good work guys!"
You left the cabin and sprinted over to the donation box. It had been filled. You smiled and did a little happy dance. You were so lost in your dance that you didn't notice someone standing behind you until they cleared their thoat. You wipped around and saw Nico standing with his arms crossed and a small smirk on his face.
"What!? I'm excited." You argued.
"I never said anything." He mumbled.
"You were thinking something."
"Just how much of a dork you are."
"I take that as a compliment, thank you."
He smiled and shook his head just as Percy and Leo came around. "We've got the list. Now we need to go shopping." Percy said.
~Christmas morning timeskip brought to you by 2017.~
We had lights and decorations, a tree, wrapped presents, and everyone gathered around the tree to celebrate Christmas. You had forced Nico to wear a Santa hat, which honestly looked adorable on his stoic face. All the younger campers were searching under the tree for their one box. Songs were being sung and snow had just begun to fall. The campers found all their boxes and waited for you to give them the signal. "On three! One! Two! Three!"
The kids ripped open the wrapping paper and gasped at the gifts they had asked Santa for. Never was the camp ever this merry on Christmas. You sat down next to Nico and he gave you a small box. "It's not much, but I thought of you when I saw it."
You opened it and saw a small necklace with a pizza pendant. You giggled and turned your head to him. "The best thing I got this year was you." You said.
You pulled out a box and handed it to him. "I thought this might interest you."
Inside he found a coffee mug that was shaped like a cute ghost. He smirked at it. "It's cute."
"Glad you like it." You smiled.
He hugged you suddenly, nearly knocking you both over. "Whoa, haha. What's that for?"
He buried his head in your shoulder and mumbled. "Everything. For accepting my quietness. For accepting that I'm the son of Hades. For helping me when I needed it. Just for being patient and too kind to me. You're too wonderful for someone like me."
"Of course not, Nico. You are just as amazing and wonderful as you think I am. Even if you don't see it. You are so much more than you realize. You're not just the son of hades, or the prince of death, or even just a quiet kid. You're kind and caring. I admire you for your quietness alot. I love it. It makes you observant."
He still held tight to you. "I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too." You whispered back.
He pulled away from you and stared at you. "Merry Christmas (y/n)."
"Merry Christmas Nico."
