Everything was blurry. My head was pounding furiously like something was trying to break out of it. I could hear voices whispering in my head. Nothing they said even processed through my brain as a language I could understand. Just meaningless whispers. The only thing I could remember was falling asleep in my bed at home. My head hit the soft pillow and I drifted off to sleep.
Am I still asleep?

A hair could float gently to the floor and the noise would be heard though the little house. Every moment that flew by was another bit of time lost that could save or end the world. At this exact moment, nobody knew how it would go down. It could go either way at this point. With every aching tick of the clock, another second of sweet time passed. Nothing moved. Time seized to end in this frozen moment. Not a breath was drawn. Not a word was even uttered. Not when all there was was fear and panic.

The clock counted down
Tock
The music of life began again
Tick
The heroes rose from their safe grounds
Tock
Every moment from now would be history
Tick
The vile witch held her ground
Tock
The heroes fought with every ounce of strength they had

It might not have been any use
