"You working on the radio?" asked Nik to Barrett as she walked into the room where he was fidgeting with said device. He didn't answer just continued to push buttons and turn dials.
"Nice work. Any progress?" she asked when she realized he wasn't going to answer. "We have a signal. Now we just need to get someone to hear us." she nodded in response and threw the stack of papers on the desk in front of him. He looked up with raised eyebrows. "What's this?" he asked picking it up. "Our medical inventory." she replied. He nodded slowly as he look thru it his eyes falling on a small piece of paper on top. He looked at her questioningly. "that's all the stuff Grover took." He replied curtly "He doesn't strike me as much of a doctor. He have a reason?" he said looking back at the papers. "Well, he said he had a fever. He seemed off his game, though." she replied. "You seem fairly on your game." he said changing the subject. "I mean, for-" he began but was cut off by Nik finishing for him. "For a detention train wreck?" She asked rudely. "Your words, not mine." he replied putting the papers aside and resuming his work on the radio. "So you were in for stealing." he guessed wrong. "No." she replied sitting on the edge of the desk. "Contraband." he tried again and she laughed "yeah right." "Murder." he finalized. "Ding. Ding." she started then stood up towering over him as he was in a chair. "See, I kill computer nerds." she said evilly. "Interesting." he replied removing his gaze from the radio. "More than one?" he asked. "Just the curious ones." she replied and walked out a smirk playing on her features and after a few moments a slight smile playing on Barretts face.

"Mayday.
This is Kent High School.
We are nine survivors.
Anyone read? Repeat.
Mayday."

"All right, Mary, I got the stuff.
Mary? Oh, crap." Grover called into the band room then realizing she wasn't there left in a hurry.

Nik walked down the hallway after her encounter with Barrett in the office. She saw Noodle sitting on some steps with something furry on his lap. He hadn't noticed her yet so she decided to scare him. She walked slowly behind him with her hand outstretched. "If you're trying to scare me Leshaen it's not gonna work" he said and she assumed he had a knowing smirk on his face. She felt a tiny bit sad at the mention of her brother who had basically disowned her. She pushed the thought aside and put on a smile. "Wrong." she said and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Oh hi Nik" he said as She sat down beside him and took the furry thing out of his lap which she had figured out was a guine pig. Noodle put his arm on the floor behind Nik and She felt his forearm across her back. Nik leaned her head on his shoulder as she played with the animal. "What's his name." She asked "Mr. Oink" he replied "from Mrs. Schere's room?" she question sitting up to look at him. He nodded. She decided it was time to ask him the question that had been on her mind. "Hey Noodle" she asked and he looked down at her. "What are we?" she asked and he looked like her was trying to think. "Well I can't really say we're dating because we've never actually been on a date so we'll have to skip that part..." he started and Nik looked at him waiting for an answer. "Well I'd say you're my girlfriend" he said then he looked startled. "That is if you wanna be you don't have to if you don't-" he started but Nik kissed him on the cheek "I'd love to be." she said and leaned back on his shoulder as he moved his other hand to pet the guine pig she was still holding. They heard footsteps and Noodle looked up.
"Hey, look. It's Mary." he said and Nik looked up. "Hey, Noodle, Nik." she said back. "Hey, Mary." Nik said with a slight wave. "I see you have a companion." she said referring to the small black animal Nik had handed Noodle.
"Mr. Oink." she said as Noodle played with him. "From Mrs.
Schere's room?" she asked and Nik nodded. "He must be really hungry." she said and this time Noodle answered. "Yeah, he is. Aren't you? Very hungry." he said directing the last part to the animal in his lap. "Still on the night watch?" She asked him  "Yeah. Still foggy as ever." he said. "You look dazed. Did you get in my locker?" he asked taking in her appearance. Nik looked at him accusingly. "Uh, no. I-I just I have a headache." she said. "That sucks." Noodle said simply. "I need to lay down." She said and began walking away. All right.
Say good night, Mr. Oink." Noodle said and then held him up to his face. "Good night, Mary." he said in his best Alvin the Chipmunk voice. "Night, Mr.
Oink." Mary said laughing.

Mary walked up to the window and pulled back some of the tape. She looked through and saw the silhouette of a person. A sick person. There was a thud as she hit her hands against the glass and he moved on. "Hey.
What are you doing? Mary, what happened?" Grover said as h walked up to her. "Nothing." she said simply.  She glanced at the window once more before following Grover to the band room.
