Zoe's pov

There was no response.

"Alfie??" I call again.

"Zoe.." the man hesitated, "it-it's not Alfie," they breathed. My heart sank.

"Then who are you?" I questioned, leaning back from hovering over the vent, breathing in its dust, to crouched in a ball against the wall, near the vent.

"It's Finn." Finn replied. Finn?? Did that mean Jack?!

"W-what?? Finn? Where's Jack?!" I freaked out. I could tell Finn was confused.

"Umm h-he's..." Finn hesitates again. "I don't know." He finally says solemnly. I breathed a sigh of relief. I lift my head up to see Joe. My heart pounds. I had forgotten. I rush over to him. His breaths were still tremendously short and quick. His pulse was weak, hard to find. What had Louise done to him?

"Zoe?" I hear Finn call. "Are you ok? I'm here too!" Wait it wasn't Finn, my first thought was Alfie.

"Alfie?" I screamed into the vent.

Finns pov

I was talking to Zoe through the vent when we stopped talking for a bit. I sighed, this was my way of contact to people. No phones, face to face, just yelling through a vent. Dan was beside me speechless. He really needs some help, if we ever get out of here.

"Zoe? Are you ok? I'm here too!" I had my eyes closed but opened them to see Dan hunched over the vent.

"Alfie?" Zoe screamed. Why did she keep asking for Alfie?

Alfies pov

I could hear everything, each time zoe screamed for me.

"Zoe! Zoe I'm hear!!" I yelled into the vent, and each time they couldn't hear me. What was happening? Why was it like this?

"Just shut up already, it's probably a recording." Jack rolled his eyes, he was leaning, arms crossed, against the wall on the other side of the room.

"It's not! Can't you hear? Finns there too!" I shouted back, it wasn't a recording, it couldn't be.

"I know, I hear him, I'm not deaf.." jack said. "I don't believe it's really him, Louise wouldn't be that dumb."

"Well Louise pretended to be Zoe's best friend for years, she's full of surprises." I sigh.

"Go on then, listen to your previous zoe, the traitor, suffer." Jack chuckled.

Louise's pov

I listen from the vent connecting to Zoe, Alfies and Finns room, somehow my victims create a plan for me. I had found a way to block off the sounds from the vents before they all moved in, but it miraculously opened and only for Zoe to Finn and Alfie, but not Alfie to Zoe. I was going to listen and wait for Finn to try and help zoe before I close it off from them. I was securing it all. I still needed a plan for us all to stay. I had tons of victims zoe and Alfie were just my mains. I would need at least 30 rooms if I wanted to triple people. Maybe I could do that, take all the roommates that were happy and split them up. Although not for Zoe and joe, that would mean help for Zoe. Hmm.
