The Forbidden Relationship

Chapter 12

Ezra's pov

I left Shadow and went to the town to buy flowers. I have some people that I want to visit. It's pretty far away but it's nothing I can't handle.

It's actually a few hours till morning and I'm still wet from the rain, and my shoes is completely muddy from walking. At least the flowers that I got are fine.

I start to get very tired, probably because I haven't slept all night. But it will be worth it when I get to my destination. 

My legs start to feel like sticks, they are probably going to break soon. I still have an hour of walking. If only I had something I could ride on, it will cut half of the time to get there.

That's when I see a truck taking a short stop. My lucky day........well sort of. I sneak into the back and hide behind all the boxes. It's a little uncomfortable but better than walking.

I start to feel confident about getting there until the driver opens the back door with another box. It doesn't take long for him to notice me. "Stupid hitchhiker get out!!!!!" He yells at me. "I'm sorry sir I'm not a hitchhiker, I just wanted to see some people I haven't seen in a long time." I say and start to get off. When I was about to walk away he stops me.

"Why didn't you just tell me?" He says and brings me to the passenger seat. Wow....not what I was expecting at all. The driver then goes to his seat and starts driving.

A half an hour later we finally arrive. "You could stop here sir." I say. He then stops the truck. "Thank you so much." I say to him. "Your welcome kid, now are you sure you want me to drop you off at this graveyard?" He asks. "I'm sure, this is where my people are meeting me." I lie.

"Ok then you best go then." He says. "Thanks what's your name again?" I ask him. He just shakes his head. "Just call me sir." He says. "Ok well thanks again sir." I say and get off his truck. Then the truck moves along. I then open the gate and enter the graveyard.

This place looks pretty empty. Not many stones but lots of trees. It took me a few minutes to find the grave I was looking for. The grave of my parents. Even though their body's aren't buried in the ground, I still made a stone for them a long time ago.

I kneel down besides it and just stay silent. Tears start to pour down my face. If only I could've done something, you guys would've been alive. I hope that one day, I'll be able to see you again. Even though that's not possible but one could only hope. I take out my flowers and place it right besides the stone.

"Goodbye I'll miss you." I say and get up from the ground. I then walk away from it and head back to the gate. But when I'm outside of the graveyard, I see someone standing right besides me. Kanan.

We both just stare at each other. "Kanan I'm so sorry for running away, for yelling at you, for everything." I say not being able to control my tears. He then just pulls me into a hug. "No Ezra I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so harsh to you. I should've told you the real reason why I didn't want you with that girl." He says.

I hugged him back, I was crying but it was the good cry. I really missed him. I was mad when I ran away but now I don't even know why I left.

We both then got on his speeder and drove away from the graveyard. While we were on our way back home, the sun was starting to rise. It looked beautiful with the dark sky becoming less black and into a light blue, and the sun making layers of pink and yellow.

I then yawn from being up all night and close my eyes. In a second, I fall asleep  on Kanan's shoulder.
