Ezra's pov

Ever since I saw Shadow, things have felt strange. When I told Kanan, he seemed to be not that effective by it until I got out of the med bay. Every time I leave the ghost to help the fleet or something, he would always make me tell him where I was going first. He would even make me tell him if I was going to the bathroom. Who does that?

Kanan is probably preventing me to see Shadow again. No doubt he isn't. It's not like I could, she is a bounty hunter now. She is now what Kanan thought of her 2 years ago. But why do I still have that same feeling about her?

That feeling where I could tell her anything. That feeling where I could be so upset, but just seeing her will make me better. Maybe I just can't face the truth. She is now my enemy. Is she?

The Empire is my enemy, and Shadow joined them. But somehow I still can't find the similarity between Shadow and the Empire. Even after she hurt Zeb and put a tracking device on our ship. It's completely confusing.

While outside looking at our chopper base, I decide to take a walk. I know I should tell Kanan first, but what could happen? I'm bored anyways because almost everyone including Hera, Zeb, and Sabine went on a mission. So might as well explore a little bit.

After taking a few steps on the sandy ground, I already get filled with regret. You know what I'll leave a note. I take out my pen and paper, (don't ask why I'm holding those) and I write down that I'm taking a walk and I should be back in less than an hour.

That's when I see a man who is part of the fleet. I walk over to him and give the note. "Can you give this to Kanan?" I ask him. He nods and takes the note. "Thanks." I say and head off to my adventure, or something to make me less bored.

While walking, I see many plants that don't look normal. Not like the ones on Lothal but they will do. I see the spiders crawling into their cave. At least they aren't after us. I keep walking scanning the place for interesting things till I stop walking when I see a speeder.

It is kinda a big one, looks to fit three people. Not the most colorful, so it's not ours because Sabine painted all of them. The speeder looks familiar. Maybe she missed one? "I knew you would be here." I hear a voice say. I gasp and turn around. I look around to see no one. "I'm up here." The voice says.

I look up and I see a giant tree, probably taller than the ghost. But it looks like someone is on it. A girl with brown hair and brown eyes. Shadow.

"Shadow? Is that you?" I ask. "Well if it wasn't me than you would be in trouble." She jokes. I give a small laugh. "How did you find me?" I ask her. She jumps off the tree and we both are eye to eye.

"The tracking device. Don't worry I didn't tell the Empire." She says. I sigh in relief. "Why didn't you?" I ask her. She looks down. "It felt like the right thing to do." She says. I know she's lying but I just let it slide.

"Well it's nice to see you again, in much brighter clothes." I say noticing she is not wearing black clothes. She smiles. "Yeah I got tired of that look, really boring." She says. We both then laugh.

I do like her new outfit. It's a nice purple top with blue jeans. "So what are you doing here?" I ask her. "Come on it's been 2 years since I saw you." She says. She does have a point. "So what do you do for fun here?" She asks me looking around.

Kanan would probably not approve me spending time with her but......."I got a few ideas." I say and we both walk away with not a care in the world.
